    I hear from friends and relatives that this has been a problem for years. Every week or two, I see some kind of rear-ending on this on-ramp. Tow trucks and police cars are constantly bringing traffic there to a standstill. One need only look at the shoulder of the on-ramp to see all kinds of smashed car debris -- taillight shards and bumper scraps. Even if you're not involved in an accident here, it's still incredibly difficult to wait at the yield sign and crane your neck far over your left shoulder to try and merge onto Rt. 9. Something's gotta change here to make it safer!

    A left turn signel is needed due to heavy traffic which causes delays at the intersection of Washington St. & Main St. going rte 66 west.

    cars and busses have to back up to let one or the other get up and down the road...it is very dangerous with kids on the busses...people are blowing horns at each other to get people to move out of the way...Bielefield should be a priority!!

    DOT web cams show 2-3 cars on the bridge with no issues BUT traffic is GRIDLOCKED all over Portland! 1 hour of sitting in traffic and getting worse. Papers report bridge work going better then expected - really??? We get that the work has to be done but something has to be done to make the flow of traffic better. The bridge is CLEAR and flowing - why are we stuck in our cars in Portland WAITING for an HOUR???

    The city of Middletown should create a dog park for all of the dog owners in Middletown. They are a great place for people to bring their dogs to. They teach the dogs social interactions with people and other dogs and it is a great place for community dog owners to come together.

    Middletown owns plenty of open space so purchasing a piece of property would not be required. Maybe they could take a 2 acre portion of Veterans Park or the park on Higby Road. Maybe even out by the reservoirs behind Middlesex somewhere. Anywhere.

    The only things really needed would be fencing, trash containers, doggy bags, and a water supply. It seems like a pretty inexpensive thing that the city could do that would show that they care about the residents with dogs.

    several cars will run thru the light AFTER the green left turn arrow has finished. happens EVERY DAY during rush hour. accident waiting to happen. CROMWELL police do NOTHING !

    let someone portland/middletown police control them so when there is a accident and a lane is closed you still don't have a green arrow,that would make traffic move faster, or was it a waist of 2 million dollars ?????

    It is sad that our town has cut the fireworks display..
    I think we need to take some lessons from Portland, on how much less the spend then we did but yet had a longer better show..........

    This is more of a personal problem my family cat is missing. She's been with the family 10+ yrs and is dearly loved. I am willing to pay a reward for her safe return. She's all black with white on her face and stomach and a black freckle on her nose. If anyone in the area has seen her could you just post up here I will be checking.     I take a left out of grand street every morning onto main street and this intersection is dangerous. The light changes at the same time as Rapello avenue and the cars that turn right at that light near collide with cars turning left out of grand. This is dangerous and can cause a collision. It makes me unsafe to travel this road and have had to find another route with near misses in a crash.
