SINCE STOP AND SHOP AND TARGET SPEEDING IS PREVELANT, DISPITE NUMEROUS CALLS TO THE POLICE WE CANNOT GET ANY PRESENCE TO SLOW DOWN. THIS IS DANGEROUS TO OUR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES AND WHEN THE SPEED LIMIT IS 35 THERE IS NO NEED FOR 55 DURING THE DAY AND ATLEAST 65 AFTER DARK! OUR TAXES PAY THE COPS, LET THEM "PROTECT AND SERVE" AND KEEP OUR ROAD SAFE.

People are speeding from Walmart to Winsted on rte 183 .... turning left onto Country Club Rd and other turns off of 183 makes it very serious as I have seen many close calls with rear end accidents ..... ugh!!! They don't slow down when turn signals are on because they are speeding. Maybe a blinking yellow light would help.

People drive on Brightwood like it's a highway. Speeding is terrible on this road.

Speeding is a huge issue in
this neighborhood. There are A LOT of children and A LOT more speeders. I fear for my children and my neighbors children too.

Since Grove Street has been made 2-way the TPD use it as an expressway to get to the East end and South end. The 2nd shift is the biggest offender driving down the road in excess of 50 mph. This is a neighborhood highly populated with young children. Many of the residents have witnessed a "near miss" as sghool children walked home fron the bus stop. It is only a matter of time before they are responsible for a fatality. Other emergency vehicles are required to abide by safe driving laws, why not TPD?

A daily occurance! Drivers speed on these streets way above the 25 MPH posted limit. 1 driver reved the cars engine while behind a child on a bike that was crossing the street. I have posted license plates on the RC and will continue to post them again if the cops can't be bothered to enforce the laws. These streets have alot of kids on them that play outside. Barely safe enough to walk your dogs outside on the sidewalk.

It is out of control how fast people drive on this road. Please address this issue, before someone gets seriously injured!

moore drive has a speeding problem. people have complianed to the police and nothing ever happens.
moore drive is a narrow road and even people who live on it speed. it's very dangerous.

Speeding cars all up and down East Pearl Street.

It'd only a matter of time before a pedestrian gets hit. Cars fly through all day long, hurrying elsewhere.

Torrington need traffic calming measures. Speed bumps would be great for this street. No one needs to be doing 40 mph or more on this residential street.

People race and burn out all hours of the night in very loud cars with stereos turned up what seems like all the way. It wakes me, my wife, and our 3 month old baby every night.

There are numerous potholes on the upper portion of Highland Avenue. Last year the town paved a portion of Highland Ave (closer to the Litchfield line) and forgot about the rest of the road. The people that live up here pay just as many taxes as everyone else, if not more. This road should be fixed. The town does not even patch it, like they patch the bottom (before Woodland Hills).
