The bike lanes on Spruce st. are barely a month old, and already they are being plagued by illegal parking, stopping, idling.

Cemented in trees Open

1517 Walnut Street Philadelphia, PA - Rittenhouse Square

Someone, presumably the construction company A.J. Lewis, poured cement into two tree pits in front of a storefront construction site. The trees are completely strangled!

complaint against limousine license plate # LM-27755 Open

300-308 South 16th Street Philadelphia, PA 19102, USA - Rittenhouse Square

I was travelling west bound on Spruce St. At the intersection of 16th and Spruce the limousine sitting at the traffic light was not in the turn lane, nor did it have its turn signal engage prior to the turn.

When the light turned green, the limousine makes a sharp right turn into the bike lane hitting my front bicycle tire. The driver failed to stop and fled the scene.

Motorcycle parking spot A & B doesnt match arrows on meter Archived

I recently got a ticket on my motorcycle at 1900 Market street. The meter arrows of left spot and right spot do not match the paint on the street therefore you can never be right on which meter to pay. I recommend all citations issued for meter number SM27006 be disqualified after a meter investigation is done and the paint on the spots are correctly labeled.
I posted a video for your viewing on the conditions of the new motorcycle meter program. This was the first time I used motorcycle parking meters and it’s AWESOME. I’m aware a new program will always have its typo’s…

Can you please do a meter investigation to verify that the A & B arrows point to mislabeled parking spots. I always put my money where the meter arrows point to and A should be left and B should be right. We are taught to read left to right, that’s just normal human behavior. But all the parking spots are painted backwards.
On another note, all the other meter spots on the street are labeled backwards also… FEDCBA when the 5 spot meter (without arrows under the LCD) reads ABCDEF. This is very confusing when wearing a helmet and fresh off a nice ride thru Philadelphia.

6 police vehicles are idling on the sidewalks at the entrances all around Rittenhouse Square. They were there last night (12/1 PM) as well and again the morning of 12/2.

Was told by building manager at257 S. 16th Street that I couldn't park my bike on city installed bike rack, threatened to cut my lock and that my bike would be gone when I came back.

Strangely wide turning radius - danger for pedestrians Acknowledged

The turning radius/curb radius here is really large. This presents a hazard for pedestrians because cars coming down Walnut fly around the corner of the busy park.

Bike Accident - Doored Open

I was doored by a beige Nissan Maxima PA plates. I have her name and number and a photo of her car and am going to get an estimate at the bike shop tomorrow morning.
