    A badly decayed, flood-prone section of SR110 (just s. Creek Road) is scheduled for major renovation in 2010, but somehow a developer of condos (on Creek Rd) and owner of new CVS (on SR110) hired contracters to restripe SR110, creating unsafe turn lanes for benefit of CVS and King Kullen and virtually eliminating southbound shoulder lane, forcing southbound traffic into oncoming lanes during flooding and snow conditions. No repaving or filling of degraded surfaces was done before yellow stripes were applied to loose, crumbling 50-year-old concrete roadway -- defying logic.

    Potholes pockmark the eastbound Northern State. Futile attempts to cold press some of the potholes during the warmer months scare the road when portion of the highway should have been repaved. It should be noted that for a least 5 years this situation has existed with DOT not properly rectifying the situation.

    There are numerous potholes on this main road. I have seen cars stopping short to avoid them almost causing accidents. This has been going on for months now. I blew out a tire 6 months ago here.

    UPDATE: 04-25-2011:
    This streetlamp has now been repaired rather quickly, within 1 week of the latest report (was repaired on Thurs 04-21-2011). I am very impressed with the speed at which this was issue was repaired/resolved.
    Thank you to SeeClickFix and all of the Huntington Town officials who took this seriously and took care of this problem so quickly. Your attention to get this repaired and resolve this dangerous issue is commendable!

    NEW ISSUE: 04-14-2011:
    Although this streetlamp was originally repaired within 2 days after it was first reported through SeeClickFix over a year ago on
    01-31-10 (bravo for that), sadly it is OUT OF SERVICE AGAIN.

    Unfortunately this past winter in January 2011, a car hit this same utility-pole with this streetlamp once again and it has been out of service for the past few months.

    A new utility pole was installed, but the streetlamp was never repaired (the new streetlamp fixture just lays tied-up at the bottom of the utility pole un-installed).

    Again, the lack of proper lighting at this critical (accident-prone) stretch of Old Country Road creates an extremely hazardous condition caused by an almost total lack of visibility at night time.
    I truly pray that no one gets hurt or killed before this streetlamp is repaired.

    ORIGINAL ISSUE--01-31-2010:
    A critical streetlamp(s) has been out of service for over 6 months now. The defective Streetlamp that is most critical is between 603 and 607 Old country Rd in DixHills /Huntington Station.
    This is a very accident-prone stretch of Old Country Rd which makes this situation even more dangerous due to extremely dark conditions at nighttime.

    Stop sign needed on North-bound AND South-bound Lenox Rd. at East 5th st. LIRR commuters and delivery trucks/vans speed excessively up and down Lenox Rd. Making a left onto Lenox from East 5th is like playing russian roulette.
