    Intersection of Skiff Street and Ridge Road needs left turn signals from both directions to turn on to Ridge. Heading west on Skiff cannot see on- coming traffic due to steep incline.

    1853-1899 Whitney Ave Hamden, CT 06517, USA - Spring Glen

    New traffic lights on Whitney Ave. are backing up traffic on it unnecessarily. The one at Glendowner Rd./Ridgewood Ave. is the worst, those at Thornton St. and Hawthorne Ave. almost as bad. They seel to be on fixed cycles, staying on green for the side streets when there is no traffic on them for much longer than needed. The old signals worked much better as they adapted to the traffic flow. I hope somebody in charge can report that this problem will be fixed as soon as possible. We may need traffic calming on Whitney but this is not the way to do it.

    This road is the only access to Quinnipiac State park. The other day, I drove down that road and exited that road via the Merritt Pkwy. There are NO signs between the park and highway that says no access.
    Infact, the trooper said that only emergency and service vehicles only are allowed. Not according to the DEP website that states "Banton St is the ONLY access to the state park."
    On top of being told "no access" the trooper gave me a $75 ticket for being on the road! I will post the ticket info here as soon as I go to court with photos and DEP website info to fight it.
    This was literally a trooper who was wasting the time of the courts and taxpayers. It annoyed me to say the least that i now have to take a day off of work and could still be held liable for the $75 fine
