For the many truck drivers here in the Charlotte area or delivering. Where can we park legally and for free and why is it ok for us to park in certain areas when supplies are needed after a state or city emergency?
7001 N Tryon St Charlotte, NC 28213, USA - Hidden Valley
Since the new road construction of new traffic lights and traffic pattern were put into place on North Tryon 29/49 split and the exit to get on I85 the city got rid of the entrance to Reagan Dr (N I85 Service Rd). Now it says for emergency vehicles ONLY and we now have to turn down Tom Hunter or cut through neighborhoods to get home. We tried contacting the city but were told there was nothing they could do, but why couldn’t it be turned into a one way road off of North Tryon heading down Reagan Dr. If the road had been like the way it is now we would have NEVER bought our house down Reagan Dr because the road they put in place doesn’t make sense and going through somewhat rough neighborhoods are such an inconvenience and your shouldn't have to go through someone else's neighborhood to get to your own when there is a simple fix!!
Hope to get help soon!
10200-10220 Prosperity Park Drive Charlotte, NC 28269, USA - Prosperity Church Road
On a weekly basis I frequent this parking lot. Prosperity Park Drive has very large and growing pot holes in the entrance/exits to the parking lot. Cars have to make wide turns to turn in or exit the parking lot to avoid the pot holes. They are growing larger and deeper and I believe will cause damage to an automobile if someone falls into it by accident. Please, Please help to get them filled.

Several children walk to Audry Kell H.S. from the Southampton Commons community. A cross walk is despratly needed to ensure the safety of the children. Cars get backed up dropping off kids and do not allow the children to cross safely. several parents have stood at the intersection at the beginning of the school year and documented the cars not giving the kids the right of way. Please Help keep our kids safe. Thank you
10665-10751 Mallard Creek Rd Charlotte, NC 28269, USA - Prosperity Church Road
Between Mallard Creek Church Rd and Odel School Rd on Mallard creek rd, has so many pot holes that people are dodging them, running off the road, and sometimes into on coming traffic. I hit one of them in the rain and bounced things out of my map pockets. Some of these holes are as much as 1 foot deep, and over 2 feet across. VERY DANGEROUS. and has put my car out of balance.
3220 Weddington Rd Matthews, NC 28105, USA - Charlotte
When the McKee Farms development was built, sidewalks were installed along McKee Rd, BUT the crosswalks are not all in place. People walking east on McKee, do not have a crosswalk in place. It is very dangerous as one side has a completed crosswalk, but the other sides do not.
8005 Chestnut Ridge Dr Charlotte, NC 28215, USA - Hickory Grove
the resident continues to park his truck in a residential area. this is an on going situation, for over five (5) years....but he continues to do so. this affect all the properties in the neighborhood. he ignores both the police and public officals when this is reported
IT IS A CODE AND ZOING VIOLATION
North Tryon Street Between Eastway And University City Blvd Charlotte, NC - Hidden Valley
More and more housing is going up in neighborhoods between Eastway Drive and University City Blvd (NC49) that feed onto N. Tryon (NC29/49). Pedestrians with a LONG walk to a traffic light, and cars turning left into streets with no lights are having to dart across traffic at all hours.
How many fatalities and how many vehicle crashes does it take to make a change?

I wanted to write in to discuss my experience with a train in my neighborhood. The only descriptions that can accurately describe this train are such words as mind boggling, incomprehensible…and baffling.
I recently moved back to Charlotte after spending some time in Florida and California. I found a unique place off of Hoskins Road (Fox Ridge Loft Apartments). I love the apartment building as the people and atmosphere are more than I could ever ask for. There is one thing that has never failed to disappoint. It is the train that runs through the intersection of Hoskins Road and Rozzelles Ferry Road. If what they are doing is not illegal, it’s at the least in some strange way immoral.
The train runs at the most inopportune times, 8-9a.m and 5-6p.m. It also runs late at night which I don’t mind. Not only does the train come through when people are on their way to work, but it also exhibits some peculiar behavior. It is common for the train after moving in one direction at a very inefficient pace to just abruptly stop and turn around. It will then go in the opposite direction, at a pedestrian pace mind you, and then simply stop in the middle of the tracks. This is not in the middle of day when no one is around. This is when there is a line of cars waiting to head to and from work. It really makes no sense. You can ask anyone in the neighborhood or in the building and they will tell you about this train. I have even seen people on multiple occasions hop on the train and walk to the other side while it was moving.
Ridiculous is usually the word that residents of the area use to describe the train. I do not know if they are testing the train or what, but they really need to be considerate of the residents of the neighborhood and discontinue this egregious behavior.
I should probably reach out to the train company myself, but I would not even know where to get started. In addition, I feel as if my attempts would be futile. For that reason, I thought I would bring it to your attention, so you could figure out what the heck is going on.
