Are the Buildings that are legally under the oversight of the town of Ansonia CT, as private home ownership is,
Located at approximately 525 East Main St and the Farrel corner of Main and North Main Street,
In postion to dodge current blight laws developed by your town in the valley? You have to admit the visual on these buildings look far worse than the River Side Apartments making state news for removal. We were eating in your town one evening and decided to take a walk after dinner prior to driving out of town and back home. I in sandals managed to get my foot scraped by broken glass from debris from one of these buildings.
See attached pics by way of what everyone on the world-wide-web is seeing post-carded as one of your city focal points.

  • Olson Drive And Lester St ansonia, ct - Ansonia

Is it only me who notices this? The hill/cliff behind the first olson dr building knocked down is strewn with garbage and debris. This area is now readily visible now that the building is gone. This is so depressing to see this area in this state. Why is nothing being done about it? If the city of Ansonia doesn't want to clean it up then make the property owners on lester st liable. Tell them to clean this up immediately or face a stiff penalty. If the owners don't have the means to do it then the city should help them. Am I the only one that cares about it?

  • Jackson Street Ansonia, CT - Ansonia

Recently painted double center line is not in the center of the road forcing cars to completely drive on opposite side of the road when driving around parked cars. Dangerous - risk of head on collision.

  • Main St Ansonia, CT - Ansonia

Broken glass 3-4 places along sidewalk in between the billboards and the fire hydrant next to the levee entrance. It's been there for months and what does it take to clean it up? I have been walking by it every day!

The white arrows at the light facing north at the bottom of East Main and State Street are confusing. There are two lanes and it is not clear if the right lane goes right and straight and the left just goes left or visa versa. I have almost gotten clipped there due as to the confusion. Please repaint arrows and also put up a sign designating the proper lane to use.

  • Brookside Ave-North Main And Cross Streets Ansonia, CT - Ansonia

Going back home north bound to Seymour (Highway Rt 115 North) or North Main Street in Ansonia an accident had just occurred. I had to Google this location. A unsuspected delivery driver was pulling out Brookside Ave, Ansonia and could not see me because of the extremely high “snow mountain” sitting at the North-Bound corner of Brookside Ave. His instinct to inch out slowly caused me to have a head on collision with the vehicle in the south bound North Main Street lane of the Brookside Ave location. We both had minor damages because of our low speed narrow access and decided to exchange insurance information. We will most likely self-settle due to elevating premium claim increases Insurance companies will feed off of. A small child was playing near the mounds just feet away at the Brookside Ave, ANSONIA corner as this could have been much worse. People passing buy mentioned a yellow front-loader with an Ansonia public works employee or contractor created this snow blocking visual OBSTRUCTION sometime Sunday evening. I have not yet considered a POTENTIAL ACTION OF LIABILITY VIA THE CITY’S CONSTRUCTED BLIND SPOT. I will monitor my vehicle and well being moving forward if this starts to place personal expense on me knowing a legal basis is the strong point towards the CITY OF ANSONIA.

  • 575 E Main St Ansonia, CT 06401 - Ansonia

When the intersection of Main and Division was redone adding in left turn signals, southbound traffic on main street regularly ignores that the left lane is now left turn only and people go straight. The left turn lane is marked pretty clearly. Since it is on the Ansonia/Derby boundary, there may be a jurisdiction issue on trying to enforce violations...?

  • 34 Woodbridge Avenue Ansonia, CT - Ansonia

When is the town going to start issuing tickets to people who did not clear their sidewalks or areas where there is a bus stop? We have an individual who paid some teenagers to clear his front walkway but not his sidewalk or the corner where the bus stop is for all Ansonia schools. The kids have the choice of standing in the road or on a thick sheet of ice. Also they have to walk in the road to get to the cleared sidewalk which is still icy. Numerous complaints have been made to the PD but nothing has been done. An officer actually told a neighbor that she should just drive her kid to school. It just burns up the rest of us who were out there for days shoveling while some people feel entitled to just not do anything. This is on the corner of Woodbridge Avenue and Merritt Street.
