230 Greenkill Ave Kingston, NY 12401, USA - Kingston
This 6 way intersection has always been a nightmare. Putting in stop signs on all roads a few years ago helped. (Imagine that!) Making Greenkill Ave one way, for one block, from this intersection SW toward Washington, would reduce the amount of cars trying to get through the intersection from five different directions. Having cars enter the intersection from only four different roads would be a big improvement. Cars that now go NE on that block can easily take Boulevard instead. Until the day Kingston can afford to install a round-about here, this solution would provide at least some relief and make the intersection safer.
Lucas Avenue Kingston, NY 12401 - Kingston
Took my 2 yr. old grandson to Kingston Kinderland yesterday and saw that the playground is barely maintained. Swings are gone except for the baby bucket type. Chains are exposed. Sandbox is sparse and trash strewn.
Paint is peeling. Wood is fractured/splintery.
My daughter's pants were ripped by a wood sliver sliding down the main slide with my grandson. ***Most dangerous situation: A moving bridge on chains heading to the spiral slide has collapsed. Children and adults could get hurt there. I almost fell myself. The bathroom reeks of alcohol. A picnic table appears to be lopsided. Kingston Kinderland needs the community spirit again, 15 years later--this time to fix the playground.
West Chestnut St Kingston, NY 12401, USA - Kingston
We removed our car from the driveway so we could shovel and snowblow it. While we were outside, a city employee came and wrote a ticket. We were standing right there, and when we asked what she was doing and that we were going to move the car back in when we were done clearing it, she ignored us and put the $100.00 ticket on the car. This is ridiculous. This was not a car abandoned,
we were putting it back in the driveway in a matter of minutes. This is what we pay taxes for - to be harassed by the city while clearing the sidewalks and driveway of our own residence?
100 Kingston Plaza Kingston, NY 12401, USA - Kingston
The bums in the plaza specifically hanging out at Hannaford are disruptive. There is a woman named Barb with blond hair, her and her friends are constantly buying beer in and out all day and harrassing everyone for money or a ciggarette. There are also plenty of fist fights in the parking lot over their "camping site" right behind Hannaford in that little patch of woods. Not to mention the constant calls for ambulances because they have drank to much or took too many drugs and are passing out on the benches. Who do you think is paying for this?
Washington Avenue And Shwenk Drive Kingston, NY 12401, USA - Kingston
The Southbound lanes on Washington avenue from Ulster Savings to Schwenk Drive need to be defined better and for a longer distance.
People are confused and crossing the lines constantly. This is dangerous and causes traffic delays. The left lane should start further back by the Dutch Village driveway. It just appears out of nowhere.
The center lane should stay constant and start further back.
The right lane should start later since you can always make the right on red.
It is very dangerous now as cars are often crossing over the double yellow lines into oncoming traffic. People who are not familiar with the road are confused and find themselves in the wrong lane all the time.
It is a mess during the morning commute and dangerous. Please look into this issue and work with the State to fix it.
Kingston Plaza Kingston, NY 12401, USA - Kingston
I have reported this before and even received a written reply in the mail that the matter would be addressed, but the light is still too long and it doesn't seem to be timed right for any direction. A waste of everyone's time.
153 Glen St Kingston, NY 12401, USA - Kingston
Build a new facility !!!!! The current residents, the future residents and the employees that provide our loved ones unmatched care deserve the best that we can give them. As taxpayers and as compassionate people, we need to make a positive change for our people. We provided the criminals a new 100 million dollar facility, why cant we provide our elderly the same?
109 Cedar St Kingston, NY 12401, USA - Kingston
The bodega on the corner of cedar and prospect is a neighborhood nuisance and magnet for malcontents. There are always people loitering and taking advantage of the stores sale of alchohol and drug paraphernalia in a residential neighborhood

Theres been ongoing issues in Kingston Ny where certain families are being singled out, when serious crimes are being overlooked.. Also officers being sexually involved w minors and attending parties where minors are being served alcohol. It now has come to light that there has been salaries pai...d illegally to officers for shifts that were not fullfilled or double time cards being submitted. Most recent issue was last night where two men were tazed, repeatedly punched to where there are visible marks on their body, and held overnite at the station, without being told of their rights and excessive force was used, these 2 men are currently being treated at the emergency room as I write this. Enough is enough! When is this going to end??? And who can we contact for help?? WE NEED HELP!!!

I think most of us enjoy music but when someone else's choice is imposed upon us, and even rattles the windows; I believe it goes beyond personal preference and encroaches on another's rights. I would also like to include the motorcycles without mufflers. This is a quality of life issue. If these vehicles were stopped and ticketed or even searched how much more pleasant would the city of Kingston be?
