    We have had 3 cones next to our sewer drain for 1 year with a large hole next to it. Do not want anyone to fall in< starting to cave in. Will there be one day that they fix this, getting bad by the day.

    The public school requests at the beginning of the school year that I make sure the kids use the crosswalks for safety issues. However, despite my requests, the town still does not have a sidewalk in front of the two houses for my kids to walk on leading to the corner. While it is not a problem during the warmer months to walk on my neighbors lawn instead of the sidewalk since there is none...it is a huge problem when the grounds is wet or the snow is covering the sidewalk. The DPW for Verona says once they repave the road they "might" have enough money to put down a sidewalk. Until then my grammar school aged children learn to walk in the street during bad weather. Maybe instead of spending money on the fancy crosswalks we should have added a little sidewalk on Hillside? I am just asking for a sidewalk in front of two houses. I wouldn't be complaining if it wasn't such a busy street.
