The building owner lives in the building and didnt like the noise the heater was causing in the builidng and decided to have it shut off. This was sub 40 degree temperature at night. We have no heat and no one knows when it will be back on. This is ridiculous

Sidewalk needs handicap ramp Open

During the summer I saw a guy in an electric wheelchair forced to jump off the curb, and his chair tipped over. A large group of us helped him up but their absolutely needs to be a handicap ramp for these sidwalk corners!

NO HEAT AFTER 10PM Open

316 West 78 New York, NY 10024 Y 10128, USA - Carnegie Hill

The landlord shuts off the heat at 10pm daily and doesn't turn it on till 7am and on the weekends he turns it on at 7:30am. That means on a daily basis we go without heat 8-9 hours and the temp these past weeks have been in the teens and 20's in the middle of the night. Landlord has been notified of matter and still doesn't put heat on for spite.
Apt. in middle of the night is ice cold "illegally freezing".

Mega-loud restaurant noise poisons neighborhood at night, police ignore it Archived

3666 Broadway New York, NY - Upper East Side

We're talking music so loud that it's clearly audible across six lanes of Broadway traffic when the establishment's doors are closed and one's windows are too... El Nuevo Amanecer is the name of the restaurant/bar, and they have blow-out karaoke nights on random Sundays and Mondays. Employees will brook no negotiation on the noise level, and the beat cops ignore the issue. 311 reports totally ineffective. This is but one grain of sand in a larger problem with public noise in upper Manhattan that's inconsiderate of the sleeping requirements of children and daytime workers.
