I recently traveled over 1.5 hours to go to an Apple store in the West Farms Mall. I think this would be an ideal location, with shops open late already the hours would be perfect. Coffee houses next door, ABP on the corner - parking down York Street and on Broadway.

why do so many people push the walk signal and then walk through the intersection anyway? i find it happens especially at this intersection in the evening.
i understand that as a time-saving measure, people walking through an urban environment might just take the path of least resistance. but, in the long run, i think it only increases the number of agitated drivers grumbling at red lights, ready to "make up for lost time" by speeding and running lights down the road.
(in appleton, WI, i saw great walk signals that were more specific to where you were crossing, and didn't just stop the traffic on all sides every time...)

Many of the First Student buses are back to barreling down our one-way street. Some come down the street so fast that they windows shake. Most are doing a good job and coming down the street at a reasonable speed, but these few bad apples are dangerous, putting children and animals at risk. PLEASE slow down!!!

Thank you @Yaakov, @LegalEagle, and everyone else who has provided helpful comments and info. It is very useful to know that we can go to the courthouse at the state level.
The heat went out again from 10/23/2012 (in the evening some time) to 3 pm or so this afternoon 10/25/2012. Tenants called maintenance people quite a few times on a few different numbers. I don't know if LCI was called this time. The heat came on when I began to consider talking to a supervisor over there. If there is a next time and response isn't immediate tenants interested in going to the courthouse can draft a letter with Legal Eagle's information (thank you so much, again). I have documentation of dates and times everything has happened. I hope other tenants watching this thread are documenting, as well.
If the site permits, I will update this thread again if another problem takes place.
If not, myself or another tenant may have to open a new report here or off-site (depending on how fast it posts - the original post for this matter didn't post until the next day).
Thank you again for all of the useful information. I am taking a screenshot to be sure the page is archived/preserved in a second location. I urge other tenants to do the same.
Despite numerous calls from tenants and at least a few calls to Livable Cities, Mandy Management seems content to violate our leases and deny heating to a building housing children as young as 3 years old. Hot water goes out sometimes for more than a day in Mandy Management's 285 Edgewood Ave property, as well. This happens every two weeks on average.
If tenants don't come together to visit Livable Cities en masse, things could get worse. It will be 41 degrees tonight - according to the weather reports I saw, and there is still no heat. Heating apartments with gas stoves is dangerous - especially with very young children in the house. And, there is also still no hot water as of 2:08 PM today. It's criminal. Mandy management seems to be going the way of Apple management.
Any thoughts on how to get Livable Cities to do something, or should Fair Housing or a federal department be approached? Still researching on this end. I am shocked that this is happening. They "seemed" to run a responsive operation. Turns out, they're just collecting checks, and penny-pinching on required heating as long as they can. It's despicable.

I called Comcast to get an accurate download speed, but 3 techs and their manager could not verify my download speed. They kept trying to up-sell me to another package for an additional $10.00 a month. Which they would not be able to very either. The basic internet service does not support DOCSIS 3.0. Which is needed for video streaming without constant buffering. Roku, AppleTV, boxeebox, Chumby, Uebo, Bigstream all digital media receivers work best on the new Internet protocol. You have to pay more to get a modem that supports it. Even with that Comcast can't very the download speed. They misrepresent their download speeds. They claim to offer the fastest service in my area but they can't confirm it. All monopolies suck!!!

There is constant trash in front of this property and the trash cans are overflowing which has caused numerous squirrels to come & eat out of the trash. The trash also includes numerous weed bags & blunt wrappers and has to be picked up daily by the neighbors since the tenants have no desire to pick it up since they are the ones who put it there. There is also a HUGE loitering problem at this location even though there is a No Loitering sign clearly posted on the property and there is a standing no loitering order on file with the poilce dept. There is constant foot traffic going in & out of this property at all hours, suspected drug use & sales from second floor. This property is managed by Diamond Management which was formerly Apple Management and owned by some slumlords out of Florida who refuse to listen to the requests of the homeowners & neighbors living near this property who ask them to do something about the problem!
216 And 222 Dwight St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Dwight
Lately I have had increasing concerns about 216-222 Dwight St. and the activities of the tenants there. The backyards looks like a parking lot for unregistered vehicles, derelict RVs and discarded mattresses. The side yard between 222 and 216 is now also being used for parking (or makeshift repairs?) possibly by tenants of 216. Neither the sideyard nor the driveway of 222 is paved and increasing amounts of mud are being tracked over the sidewalks.
216 also has what appears to be a derelict trailer or RV parked in front of the garage in the back yard.
222 is owned by Mamoun's restaurant and houses some of the restaurant's workers. I'm not saying they are undocumented.
216 is owned by Apple Management and is apparently occupied by transient Yale undergraduates.
Both landlords are poor stewards of their property and seem not to have any regard for this neighborhood.
I don't know if any of this is illegal, but it certainly is unsightly and has dragged down property values on what is an otherwise lovely street of 19th century homes, most of which are owner occupied.
