Notified About

  • Brownleigh Drive And Glenwood Ave Raleigh, NC - Northwest
The entry into Brownleigh Business Park onto Brownleigh Drive from Glenwood is very dangerous. The crossover for west bound traffic is mis-located 50' too far east for this turn and makes a west-bound turn very dangerous. An east-bound turn is lacking a de-acceleration (from 45 mph) exit lane - also very dangerous. Persons wanting to go into the business park must go up to Ebenezer Church Road exit and enter the park from the back entrance. This is unknown to many visitors and very inconvenient to workers in the business park.
  • Intersection Of Glenwood Avenue And Brownleigh Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest
The crossover is not located directly in the intersection. Thus, making a west-bound turn into an illegal travel in wrong direction for 50 feet. The current crossover never should have been located where it is. It needs to be moved west by about 50 feet.

I have attached photos of my flooded drive.
I have tried to eliminate the runoff problem
With ditches (hand dug) to no avail. I have
turned 78 years of Dec. 2nd and am physically
unable to keep fighting this losing cause. Under
the mud, silt and debris I had a good sound gravel
    drive.

It took around seven years to get the ditch unclogged.
I understand this is under the jurisdiction of DOT,
But it seems it never gets addressed.

I have had problems with highway run off on my property and drive for many years. I have photos I would like to submit if I had an email address. The drive is practically destroyed as the silt and mud have covered my gravel

Since this inquiry a company installing FO lines have trenched
Across the drive allowing more erosion and a fresh
Supply of mud. I have many photos, but not an email address to deliver to

  • Pothole Archived
8221-8299 Brownleigh Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest
The east-side shoulder of Brownleigh Drive has a deep pothole over a foot deep. Someone has erected boards in it to alert drivers but they, too, are dangerous. It is also very unsightly for visitors to Raleigh since it is at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue.
  • Intersection Of Glenwood Ave And Brownleigh Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest
All turns from Glenwood Ave between the airport and the city have an exit lane from high speed Glenwood to improve safety except for the turn into the Brownleigh Business Park at Brownleigh Drive. This turn needs an exit lane.
