  • 97 Fountain St New Haven, CT 06515, USA - Westville
The intersection of Fountain, Alden, Harrison & Philip in front of the post office is a free-for-all of running red lights, illegal parking and illegal standing. It is all the time during weekdays. We need some enforcement here.

29 Tour Avenue New Haven Connecticut - Westville
The preschool at 3 Tour Avenue would like access to the river walk, located next to the playground at 29 Tour Avenue. We would like an opening created in the metal fence along Tour Avenue. This way, we can easily take our preschoolers for walks along the river or over to the playground on Blake Street. We would also appreciate a dedicated crosswalk on Tour from our playground to the river walk. We thank the city in advance for making this happen!
  • Whalley Avenue New Haven, CT - Beaver Hills
All over New Haven, not just Whalley Avenue...cars are blatantly running through red lights at a high rate of speed!! This is so dangerous as the light has been green on the other side for a few seconds! How come things can't be done regarding this. Are you going to wait until someone loses their life? Just the other day someone was preparing to cross the street when a car sped through the light. HELP!!
  • 145 Blake St New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - Beaver Hills
WHEN will the gas station on the corner of Osborn Avenue and Blake Street be taken care of? It is a complete disgrace to the neighborhood. If it isn't going to be thrown down or dealt with, at least clean it up. How many times must the neighbors complain about this? It is a total eyesore and continues to make the entire neighborhood look bad.
  • 102-110 Fountain St New Haven, Connecticut - Westville
Nearly every time I walk across this intersection a car runs the light during the walk signal. This intersection serves pedestrian traffic for the library, a synogogue, the post office, a nursery school and a church. Enforcement is needed.
  • Fountain Street & Whalley Avenue New Haven, CT - Westville
The crosswalk where Fountain Street merges into Whalley Avenue in Westville Village continues to be a danger zone, both for pedestrians, cars, and bicycles. Until this intersection can be completely rebuilt to slow traffic down and allow for a safe, signalized crosswalk here, there needs to be both an in-street pedestrian sign installed (as utilized throughout the city) as well as a transformation of the asphalt island at the merge into a planted median and median refuge. This will help slow traffic down by signalling to drivers that they are NOT on a highway, rather in a neighborhood with people walking and small businesses trying to survive. This is an inexpensive mitigation effort that can and should be done immediately. TT&P, please acknowledge.
  • 420-436 W Rock Ave New Haven, CT 06515, USA - Westville
After the Owls Nest closes the patrons continue to party in the parking lot all hours of the night(especially Thursdays)> There is yelling, laughing, arguing, horns blowing, loud music, motorcycles blasting around and around the block. This is a residential neighborhood and the noise is just awful!!
  • Mitchell Library New Haven, Connecticut - Westville
A neighbor was talking about the tool lending libraries in Oakland and Berkley, CA. Would folks be interested in running a similar experiment at Mitchell Library?
  • 820-836 Whalley Ave New Haven, CT 06515, USA - Westville
I was just a witness to the dirtbike accident where the rider ran two red lights in a wheelie before hitting a vehicle and severely injuring his leg. Why has the State done nothing to improve traffic safety here and why does the police not enforce speed limits here? Vote here if you want traffic safety improved at the corner of Fountain and Whalley.
  • 1374 Whalley Ave New Haven, CT 06515 - Amity
this dunkin donuts should be shut down, it clogs traffic from 7 -10 am everymorning, who ever provided zoning for this place to have a drive through should re-examine it.
  • Edgewood Park New Haven, Connecticut - Westville

Trash everywhere. Dirty diapers littering the ground. Condom wrappers at the playground.

Until people learn to be good neighbors and clean up after themselves, perhaps the city could send work crews. There most be some juvenile delinquents who have to do court ordered community service who could do this... Or college-bound high school students who need a community service project to work on.

Also... Step up law enforcement at the parks to fine litterers.

  • 368-384 West Rock Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - Westville
This corner serves quite a few businesses on the West Rock side, including a very heavily attended Farmers' Market the Park Tennis courts, yet the light to enter from Whalley is about 3 cars long, and the one coming out of West Rock barely lets two cars out before it turns to red. I understand that Whalley Avenue is THE MOST IMPORTANT street of the two, but I feel like a prisoner in my own neighborhood sometimes. Please check the timing on this.
