Joe's Neighborhood

Big pink abandoned building on the northwest corner of Mission and 15th, 1 block from an elementary school. It is littered with drug dealers and very ill homeless people creating a stinky dirty (syringes, feces and urine soaked sidewalk), unsafe and intimidating environment. Does the city have plans for this building?

Every day men set up little stalls selling items out of their cars or carts. So many have gathered now it's sometimes hard to pass on the sidewalks. I often see items that appear to be stolen (two bike seats, some random bike lights at one, a laptop at another). They discard a lot of trash. Plus they make harassing comments about the women who walk by in spanish.

Roll-up door has been repeatedly tagged for months, and has not been painted over by owners.

The now-defunct gas station at the corner of 15th and South Van Ness has become an eyesore. The station sign is constantly tagged, and the owners have surrounded the station wiht an unsightly chain-link fence and have turned the place into a parking lot. This site should be cleaned up, and the fence should be removed.
