Safe Recovery services seek to reduce the incidence of drug-related harm among people who have used or are using opiates or who have injected any drug. Such harm includes HIV transmission, Hepatitis C transmission, and drug overdose. Services include case management, access to safer injection supplies, safe disposal of used supplies, drug treatment options counseling, and corrections outreach. We also offer free, anonymous HIV and Hepatitis C testing.

  • Sping St And Elmwood Ave Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric

The recent closure of Spring St at Elmwood Ave is a boon to all users but seems to be incomplete.

The former stop sign and bar where they met should be removed as they are now needless and hence confusing and cumbersome.

The stop bar at Elmwood and Archibald is now incorrect for the current geometry, being both too short and askew. It should be repainted properly in the spring.

There are now three de facto parking spots along the park's western edge since no "No Parking" signage was erected. Assuming this was the intent the spaces should be formalized with markings.

Additionally the center line striping on Elmwood needs to be redone in the spring. When it is it should be moved westward equalizing the travel lanes. Currently motorists routinely breech the center line to avoid the door zone, with reason.

Elmwood Ave the whole length is a candidate for sharrows and/or Bikes May Use Full Lane signs.

  • Archibald Street Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
I walk my two sons to IAA via Archibald every morning. From approximately Hyde Street to the school, we regularly encounter significant amounts of trash, including piles of old clothing and broken furniture. These items remain for lengthy periods of time. I also frequently see used needles on the ground. Could the City please address this issue? The children at IAA deserve to walk to school along cleaner, safer streets.
  • 20 Riverside Ave Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Behind the 669 riverside ave apartments along the chain link fence line behind the parking lot is always littered with used needles and with the number of children that reside at these apartments I find it disturbing to find used needles by the dozens all the time. This week I found and cleaned up nearly 50 of them. I which this location could be checked on periodically due to this problem and the danger to so many youngsters.
