Notified About

  • Westlink M7 Kings Park NSW 2148, Australia - Blacktown - North
The shared path on the west link m7 for cyclists and pedestrians is lacking a suitable source of drinking water. There are currently no facilities whether drinking water can be obtained by users.
Considering the popularity and length of this path, I feel that a water fountain (or something similar) can greatly improve usability.
This has stemmed from reports of people becoming dehydrated when riding along the shared path.
  • Erskine Park Link Road Sydney NSW, Australia - Blacktown - South-West
The end of the shared path on Erskine Park Link Rd comes abruptly and forces cyclists who want to link with theM7 pathway onto a busy road where they are at risk of being run over by the numerous trucks that use this road. It would be a good idea to complete the pathway up to Wallgrove rd or to improve the shoulders(on both sides) to allow cyclists to ride it for a minimized risk. The current shoulder is so bad, it cannot be used by a bicycle.
  • Great Western Highway Eastern Creek NSW 2766, Australia - Blacktown - South-East
No consideration for bicycle transit during road work. No shoulder, gutter with large lip from road surface. Unsafe merge point. This is the same on both sides of the highway.
  • 659-669 Great Western Highway Eastern Creek NSW 2766, Australia - Blacktown - South-West
Narrow bridge. Cyclist must ride on 80kph highway as there is no shoulder. Area behind barrier not maintained or accessible.
  • Quakers Hill Parkway Quakers Hill NSW 2763, Australia - Blacktown - North
the joining section between the bridge and the shared path on the north side requires repair. At the moment the surface is uneven and represents a hazard to pedestrians and cyclists.
  • Windsor Road Kellyville Ridge NSW 2155, Australia - Blacktown - North
the pavement has shifted apart in this part of the shared path and a significant gap presents itself as a result. represents hazards to cyclists as narrow tires may be caught in the gap.
  • 1190 Old Windsor Road Parklea NSW 2768, Australia - Blacktown - North
the bike path on the blacktown council side of old windsor road is very overgrown.
  • 28 Elanora Avenue Blacktown NSW 2148, Australia - Blacktown - South-East
Switch back needlessly prevents pram and wheelchair access. Simple bollards would prevent car access while allowing easy disabled and parents with prams access
  • 34 Moomin Street Lalor Park NSW 2147, Australia - Blacktown - South-East
Switch back is very tight. It is preventing access for cargo and trailer bicycles. Centre poles need to be removed.
  • 11 Kilbenny Street Kellyville Ridge NSW 2155, Australia - Blacktown - North
The lane way between the old Windsor road SUP and Kilkenny street is almost always littered with smashed broken glass.
    cyclists and pedestrians aware!
I often feel compelled to carry my bicycle through to avoid punctures.
  • Lot 7020 Old Windsor Road Toongabbie NSW 2146, Australia - Parramatta - North-West

The SUP runs parallel to Old Windsor Road either side of Toonbabbie Creek without any verge or barrier to separate bicycles and traffic, except for a strong steel railing on the road bridge proper. The SUP exiting the road bridge to the west has a steel plate on one side that is slippery when wet. The SUP exit from the bridge is over a poorly instaled bitumen patch. This location was subject of an initially unguarded sinkhole during construction and the patch has been repatched, so that the finsih is very rough. The risk of an accident / incident is high. The consequencs could be severe if a cyclist ended up on the road which has a high traffic density in the morning peak hour and is zoned 80 k/h. A physical barrier (steel fence) shoudl be installed along the SUP either side of the riad brodge where there is no separation from Old Windosr Road. This risk has been recognised and managed with a fence about 100 m further west where a new SUP was recentlyu installed perpendicular to the existing SUP and OWR. The fence shoud be of equivalent standard to the one on the existing road bridge due to the potential for impact by vehicles as happend at the next bridge west last year. The steel plate shoud be coated with a non slippery finish. The contractor responsibe for the bitumen patch should be required to install a new flat and flush patch. Not sure if this is a Council or RTA issue.

  • 7 Hayle Terrace Sydney NSW 2768, Australia - Blacktown - North
Pits (x3 or 4) have been poorly installed along the path with creating a large lip which is a severe wheel deflection and pedestrian trip hazard.
