Standing water when it rains Archived2419 Maplewood Ave Richmond, VA 23220, USA - Byrd Park
1/21/13 - as far as I know this has never been reviewed by the City. It would be great if someone could come take a look at it when there is a heavy rain to see the huge puddle that forms and stays in the alley for several days.
In side alley between garages at 601 S. Davis and 2419 Maplewood, whenever it rains a large puddle of water stands for several days creating a risk for mosquitoes. Please install a drain as is in the middle of the side alley. Thank you!

Permitted road closure? ArchivedFrench & Belmont Richmond, Virginia - Richmond Precinct 3A contractor working for the city (I presume, as there are no identifications whatsoever on their on-site vehicles today) has been regularly closing streets in this area (see attached pic). My understanding, from Councilman Agelasto, is that a permit is required for closure of a city street and that permit must be on site. Does this agent, who have been working in this area for several weeks now, with zero notification to residents about the nature or duration of the work, have the authority to close a city street or is it just a convenient for them to do so? These closures have consistently been impromptu, lacking any effort to warn or re-route traffic such as detour signs, etc. Please investigate what I suspect is an attempt to avoid paying proper permit fees and coordinate road closures with the city.
