Notified About

  • Pothole Archived
30 Roanoke Road Berkeley, California - Berkeley

A significant sinkhole has recently developed on Roanoke Road. This is more than a mere pothole, of which there are many already on Roanoke Road - it is a significant hazard and safety issue. As one neighbor describes it:

"I've seen a few bikers almost fall of their bikes due to the combination of the steep hill and this very steep crater. Also, cars suddenly swerve onto the other side of the street to avoid it - but it's a somewhat curvy, hilly street and I've seen them almost swerve into oncoming traffic."

  • 3053 3099 Martin Luther King Jr Way Berkeley, CA 94703, USA - South Berkeley
There is a lot of construction around the Ashby BART stop but nothing has been done about the ridiculous amount of litter that just keeps piling up around the perimeter. It's disgraceful.
  • 1107 High Court Berkeley, California - Berkeley
Stormwater runoff for half of High Court street in berkeley does not flow to the storm drain, but instead flows into the driveways for 1107 and 1109 High Court, causing flooding, property damage, and a hazard for residents. The street needs to be repaired so that the water flows into the storm drain
  • Pothole Archived
1022-1044 Murray St Berkeley, CA 94710, USA - Berkeley
Road surface failure along entire roadway on Murray St.
  • Woolsey And Tremont Street Berkeley, CA - Berkeley
Woolsey Street, between Shattuck and Adeline, is a major pedestrian route to Ashby BART. The last month has seen five armed robberies on Woolsey near Tremont and Whitney. The street is very dark and needs improved lighting. The BART station parking lot is well lit, making the surrounding streets even darker and unsafe for pedestrians. Please improve the lighting on this street! More street lights are necessary.
  • 1018 Bancroft Way Berkeley, CA - Berkeley
For years, AT&T technicians have been leaving their debris behind at over 20 telecommunications terminals (the green boxes) in Berkeley, littering the public easements and the street gutters leading to the Bay. The Mayor, all City Council Members, the City Manager, and AT&T Corporate officials have been aware of this problem for the last 7 months but have failed in their efforts to stop it. Please join your neighbors by sending a clear signal to city hall that we will not tolerate this continued littering in our city. Please also join us on Facebook and Change.org by searching: STOP ATT LITTER
  • Illegal Dumping Acknowledged
Bolivar Dr Berkeley, CA, 94710, USA - Berkeley
I'm Sick of this and frankly don't care whose responsibility and jurisdiction it is. Clean it up or I'm going to have it dumped on the doorstep of Berkeley City Hall and Caltrans HQ and send you the bill!
  • Bay St Berkeley, CA, 94710, USA - Berkeley
The homeless encampment tents have moved off the railroad track back onto the freeway off ramp at Shellmound Avenue, and garbage from the site is scattered everywhere on that corner now. Is it possible to get everything cleared up and prevent the tents from moving back and forth from corner to corner in the area? Also, some vehicles that get off the ramp often stop by the tents, making it unsafe for other motorists exiting the freeway. I know that homeless encampments are a big discussion point for bay area city leaders but until they figure out how to best handle the situation, as a resident in the area, it is very frustrating to see these rent encampments and related issues that come with them constantly recurring in the neighborhood.

Bay St Berkeley, CA, 94710, USA - Berkeley
The encampment on Shellmound / Baystreet at the freeway off ramp is out of control. It has grown to look like a Mumbai slum! It is an environmentyal and health hazard. Ultimately much of that crap will end up in the bay! It is understood the people are homeless and I mean them no harm but something needs to be done. This encampment has been growing for over a year and keeps getting worse. I suspect there may be a jurisdiction dispute between Caltrans, Berkeley and Emeryville. Frankly, that is your problem to resolve, not the problem of those of us who live here. Why don't all 3 get together and work toward a solution!
  • 800-848 Stanford Ave Berkeley, CA - Santa Fe

The curb in front of the Stanford Market on Stanford Ave in Berkeley between King St and 62nd St needs to be painted red, between the two curb cuts. The van repair shop across Stanford regularly stores their vehicles here, which blocks the view of oncoming traffic heading south-west on Stanford from anyone heading south on King St.

This is especially dangerous for bicyclists and pedestrians trying to go south from King St to the path across the Stanford Ave median, as cross traffic is often moving very fast and a clear view is of utmost importance.
