Notified About

  • Pershing College Station, Texas - SouthSide Area
I have sent a message to Mr. Cowell but also would like to hear from Cod enforcement. I would like to know what the city is planning to do about the growing problem of 5 unrelated students per house. This problem has gotten out of control in the south side district with the construction of 5 bedroom houses. If code enforcement was to investigate, I am pretty sure 80-90% of these 5 bedroom houses will have 5 unrelated students living in violation of the ordinance. We really feel the city also needs to add penalties to the ordinance. Currently there is great incentive for landlords to break the rules. We are talking 5-7K extra in rent per year.
  • 9218 Timber Knoll Dr College Station, TX - Shadowcrest
Flat tires, inspection out of date, not moving, registration not up to date?
  • 3411 3499 Longmire Dr College Station, TX - Central College Station
Potholes in several portions of the intersection of Rock Prairie Rd & Longmire Dr. These potholes are along the rainwater gutter, at the place close to where the pedestrians would be crossing Longmire (on both sides of R.P. Rd.). These potholes are across the entire lane of traffic.
These potholes are especially annoying because they are inside the gutter, which makes the impact on the vehicle suspension amplified.
  • Ireland St College Station, TX 77840, USA - Texas A&M University

This is a 4-way intersection with the traffic entering from 3 directions, and a protected turn light for the left turn from East-bound University Dr. into Ireland St. (two turning lanes).
However, there is no indication for the
pedestrians crossing Ireland St. about the phase of the traffic light.
This results in a situation when the protected-left-turn light turns on (for relatively short time, compared to the number of cars in two turning lanes), while the pedestrians are crossing Ireland St., creating a safety hazard.
Often, the situation becomes even more dangerous, when the vehicle in the leftmost turning lane is tall, thus, limiting the visibility of the intersection and pedestrians for the car in the second turning lane.

Also, at the same intersection, some visitors coming out of the parking garage to Ireland street make an illegal left turn on a one-way Ireland St., and then come to that same intersection, not realizing that they are on one way street. Since there is no traffic light for them (and it is not needed), they just enter the intersection as they like, creating hazardous situations for the oncoming (University dr.) traffic. I've observed this on several separate occasions.

I propose that some sort of sign, indicating that it's a wrong direction (such as "Wrong Way" on divided highways) would be placed on Ireland St. right in front of the intersection - for the cars heading North on Ireland St. (for the drivers who didn't realize that they made an illegal turn).

  • 3269-3285 Welsh Avenue College Station, Texas - Central College Station
I previously reported 4 instances of branches in the bike lane along Welsh Avenue. One instance was resolved quickly and I commented as such (I think probably the gas station management itself took care of that one). The other three instances were closed without any apparent effort to resolve them and are now archived so I cannot reopen them. I will ask (again) that you please make the bike lanes safe to travel in by trimming the trees that have branches that force bikes into the car lanes. The remaining three locations are near the intersections of Welsh and -Honeysuckle, -San Mario, and -Westchester. If you can't find the branches I reference, please comment as such rather than closing the issue without addressing it. I will be happy to make a point of stopping along my commute to take photos if necessary.

125 Pershing Ave College Station, TX 77840, USA - SouthSide Area
If you would put a no parking sign on the pole with the Southsides sign maybe that would stop the illegal parking and blocking of the view
  • 3300-3498 Longmire Drive College Station, Texas - Central College Station
When crossing Rock Prairie at the Longmire intersection, one needs to slow down extremely or ruin the vehicle, as the roads are not connected. Rock Prairie is lower than Longmire on both sides, and this leads to dangerous driving. PLease connect the streets! Thank you.
  • 3207-3209 Toni Ct College Station, TX - College Station
This problem has been brought up several times. We keep hearing someone will look into it but have yet to hear anything or receive any correspondence. There is a low spot in the cul-de-sac that accumulates rain/sprinkler water and becomes stagnant in cooler months. This a health hazard as well as a mosquito breeding haven.
  • 1502 Hunter Creek Dr College Station, TX - College Station
If you have not been down Hunter Creek Dr. lately I would strongly encourage you to do so. 1502 Hunter Creek has recently decided to let their Michigan game colors shine, by painting their fence navy blue and their garage door yellow. The paint appears to be cheaply done and looks tacky. There are homes on the street that will not sell as people see this yellow tacky garage when they enter the street. This is an eyesore!! the paint on the fence and garage do not match the home or any other homes in the area and does affect the asthetics. Also, we are not allowed to leave cars/boats/trailers in our driveways, but they have left pallets with rocks in their driveway for over four months. This really affects the look of the street.
  • 2805 Adrienne College Station, Texas - Central College Station
this will be the 5th time this year I have complained about these 2 enclosed trailers in driveway. if I can't park mine in driveway with getting a letter from city why do these people continue to be allowed too for the last two years.
  • 1002 Park Place College Station, TX - SouthSide Area

North bound on Pershing at the Park Place stop sign.

This shrub blocks the view of traffic headed west bound on Park Place. I have to pull forward into the intersection just to see if a vehicle is approaching.

A neighbor did approach the homeowner and ask him if he would trim it back to make the intersection safer; this was a month ago and nothing has been done.

  • Haines Drive Between Glade And Langford College Station, Texas - South Knoll Neighborhood Plan
There are potholes forming where Haines was resurfaced this summer.
