Traffic Enforcement Open1115 12th St Nw Washington, DC - Logan CircleThroughout the District, there are signs warning drivers to not block the box. My home commute path takes me up 12 Street and across Mass Ave. Every day, between the hours of 4:30 and 6:00, which is the range during which I've experienced this issue, drivers along Mass Ave will block the box, not allowing drivers along 12th Street to cross over Mass Ave. Often, I have to wait 2-4 light cycles in order to get past cars that continue to drive down Mass Ave, even when they have no room to do so. I would be immensely satisfied if I were to see a TCO at this intersection during my home commute this afternoon. And perhaps doing this on a regular basis would alleviate the blocking the box issues, as I am aware that this is a ticketable offense. Thank you in advance.

Parking Enforcement ArchivedNw 14th St & Nw G St Washington, DC 20005, USA - DowntownMPD marked cruiser #3034 is parked in bus zone and rush hour lane. This cruiser is in the 2nd district and not on duty. Police repeatedly park illegally downtown to grab coffee, food or run to the bank. I can understand if the police are on an emergency but when they are parking they should obey the laws they enforce.

311 is practically unusable Archived311.Dc.Gov Washington, DC - Downtown
Go to 311.dc.gov and try and report a problem that is not located at a specific address or at an address that is in the DC database. Go ahead, just try it. For example, I have tried repeatedly to report pedestriant safety program (crosswalk) signs that need to be replaced at two intersections near my house.
I should be able to to do this at 311.dc.gov. Of course, I can't. The website doesn't allow intersections to be reported. Neither does it allow an address that isn't keyed to a specific house. Furthermore, it automatically 'validates' the address information you put in, usually changing NW to NE, in my case. Also, it really really wants a +4 zip code.
It is, for all intents and purposes, broken in the same way that 911 is broken: if you need to report a problem that is not at a very specific and known address (i.e., a house), then you're out of luck.
Go ahead, try it. Try and report a problem with an intersection. Go ahead, try it, and see what happens. I'll wait here for you. -

Unplowed Street Archived634-698 N Capitol St Nw Washington, DC 20529, USA - DowntownF Street, approaching this very busy intersection in the downtown business district, has yet to be plowed. Not only is this an inconvenience to drivers, cyclists and pedestrians, but it's also a safety hazard. Imagine when all that slush turns to ice, too!
