  • 1115 12th St Nw Washington, DC - Logan Circle
Throughout the District, there are signs warning drivers to not block the box. My home commute path takes me up 12 Street and across Mass Ave. Every day, between the hours of 4:30 and 6:00, which is the range during which I've experienced this issue, drivers along Mass Ave will block the box, not allowing drivers along 12th Street to cross over Mass Ave. Often, I have to wait 2-4 light cycles in order to get past cars that continue to drive down Mass Ave, even when they have no room to do so. I would be immensely satisfied if I were to see a TCO at this intersection during my home commute this afternoon. And perhaps doing this on a regular basis would alleviate the blocking the box issues, as I am aware that this is a ticketable offense. Thank you in advance.

MPD marked cruiser #3034 is parked in bus zone and rush hour lane. This cruiser is in the 2nd district and not on duty. Police repeatedly park illegally downtown to grab coffee, food or run to the bank. I can understand if the police are on an emergency but when they are parking they should obey the laws they enforce.

Go to and try and report a problem that is not located at a specific address or at an address that is in the DC database. Go ahead, just try it. For example, I have tried repeatedly to report pedestriant safety program (crosswalk) signs that need to be replaced at two intersections near my house.

I should be able to to do this at Of course, I can't. The website doesn't allow intersections to be reported. Neither does it allow an address that isn't keyed to a specific house. Furthermore, it automatically 'validates' the address information you put in, usually changing NW to NE, in my case. Also, it really really wants a +4 zip code.
It is, for all intents and purposes, broken in the same way that 911 is broken: if you need to report a problem that is not at a very specific and known address (i.e., a house), then you're out of luck.
Go ahead, try it. Try and report a problem with an intersection. Go ahead, try it, and see what happens. I'll wait here for you.

  • 634-698 N Capitol St Nw Washington, DC 20529, USA - Downtown
F Street, approaching this very busy intersection in the downtown business district, has yet to be plowed. Not only is this an inconvenience to drivers, cyclists and pedestrians, but it's also a safety hazard. Imagine when all that slush turns to ice, too!

I have serious concerns and questions regarding the Authority of an ANC commissioner in ward 5 who purports herself to be a shop steward and working for the DC Department of Health Care Finance in the Division of Program Integrity but lacks every ounce of integrity. How can an ANC commissioner park their car in front of a meter all day with a placard in the car window stating "Official Business" yet the business being handled is not ANC neighborhood issues, its going to an official job. A job where Regina James terrorizes most employees she comes in contact with. She does not have a staff to supervise but she is the office watch dog that she monitors other employees creating a hostile work environment yet fails to do her job. Did you know that while Department of Health Care Finance was battling the home health agencies in court Ms. James failed to mail notices to the providers in a timely manner which resulted in costing the agency millions due in part to Home Health Agencies winning their appeals and flat out told her supervisor that she refused to mail the letters after repeated direction. Yet, this woman is an ANC commissioner abusing her privilege by failing to pay the meter and lying that she is on official business when she is not. She cannot be trusted at all. Check any day around judiciary square around the hours of 6:30am and 5pm and you will find Ms. James' car parked on the street.

not working on anything - they are supposed to put out cones if they are working on something. Blocking view of oncoming traffic for those exiting the DOL parking garage. Besides, the District subcontracts out the signal work and this is a city owned truck.
