Busses and trucks traveling fast will actually rattle the walls. On occasion I have seen drivers lose control briefly, enough to send a vehicle into pedestrians. This is a dangerous and noisy situation and must be corrected ASAP. The DOT should consider an concrete slab installation since the high heat from Con Ed steam lines exacerbate the problem within weeks of a fix with asphalt.

I Came home from work at 6pm, and outside my building is temporary boiler with men setting connections up. I decided to eat out, and returned to my apartment at 9pm. Cellar doors closed, barely hot water, and still no heat entire building. If you look at HPD website, inadequate heat and hot water issue been on-going since January. What am I paying rent for, and why should I pay an increase come June??? HPD should force management to give me back some money, or lower my rent. I have no where to take a shower, other than a hotel, and I can't afford a city hotel till this problem is fixed. I've decided to keep a daily record since in case I go this route.
In addition, HPD inspector 3118 showed up 3/28/13, (due to another tenants cry for help), and posted violation notice.
Though this is building-wide issue, I'm 1 out of 4 rent stablized tenants left, with 1 senior tenant that is rent control living in this co-oped operated building. Please help resolve this issue for the non-co-op tenants--we need a little muscle help here. Thanks in advance.

Eventually had hot water at 10pm to take shower, but still no heat. CO-OP sign said heat and hot water will be restored with Temp Boiler. Can someone tell me if these Temp Boiler's handle heat and hot water????
Came home at 8pm on, met APPROVED boiler guy, back of trailer open; I questioned heat, he didn't know but can't seem to reach super. HEAT arrived in 15 minutes, and decent heat and hot water till 6:00 am on 4/2/13.
4/2/13 (update on 311 Call Reference # 6379542)
6:15 PM, came home from work, Approved boiler truck outside of building/temp boiler still hooked up, cellar door opened, banging coming from cellar. Have Hot water, but no heat.
8:00 PM went out to coffee shop, Approved truck gone, cellar door closed.
10:00 PM; NY1 shows Temp 40. Still no heat, but have hot water. No signs posted in building. What happened now????
Temporary Boiler goes from luke warm water to steaming hot water-- I'm assigned unusual work hours on weekends, so hard to catch hot water cycle at 3am, when I should to be in bed by 8pm the night before and taking shower instead.. Heat rising for a couple of hours with radiators and high risers not heating up together (then backs down), or there is way too much heat for a several hours. I at least can enjoy the toasty apartment and hot water for showering when I catch them both together.
