121-139 Fairview Ave N St Paul, MN 55104, USA - Merrlam Park

Fairview Ave in Highland Park - Even driving down the middle of the road does not help, I am not sure if a hovercraft would help!

  • Douglas Park Saint Paul, MN - West Side

This fence is probably 50 years old. Calling it an eye sore is a compliment. The chain link is detached from the top rail by 1 foot in several places. There is a giant tree stump on our property, grown into fence. This is the city of St Paul's tree. The fence is rusty and has many sharp protruding metal pieces. I have insured myself on it several times and cringe every time a kid sticks there arm under it.
It needs a retaining wall. All the trash and leaves blow into our yard because of the downward slope, and the huge gap between the ground and the chain link. There are chunks of asphalt that also have come loose from what looks to be some attemp from keeping the earth and the trash from relocating.
This fence is not only ugly, but dangerous. Doulas park neighbors need a new fence.
We have made several attempts with various city officials to no avail.

Douglas Park is a MESS...there are no swings, the surrounding fence is a rusty safety hazard, the sand is full or garbage, feces, and unknowns, and most of the kids in the neighborhood go to other parks to play now. A major face lift, or complete change to the park, would be so great for this community of families with small children. One idea would be to mimic Minneapolis Parks with their free, fenced in splash parks! Douglas Park seems like the perfect place for a splash park!

  • W King St And Orleans Ave St Paul, MN - West Side

The park lights in Douglas Park are on during the daytime but off at night, leaving the park pitch black. As this has in the past been a location for juvenile crime, having park lighting is ESSENTIAL.

  • Mears Park/E 6th St St Paul, MN - Downtown

Many of us from the neighborhood have called:
    1) City Hall
    2) Parks Dept
    3) St Paul PD
    4) Public works
about the extremely loud "muzak" that plays 24/7 from the speakers on the ampi-theater in Mears Park. No one seems to want to "own" this nuisance. The music is too loud and can be heard in the apartments with the windows closed. It is supposed to turn off at 9pm & never does. In times of budget woes, why doesn't someone just shut this off for good and save the city & taxpayers a lot of wasted money that is a big annoyance to the residents of the area. Who IS responsible for this???

  • 490-502 Lynnhurst Ave E St Paul, MN - Merrlam Park

Iris Park is a beautiful setting along the busy Central Corridor. However, it is frequented by people with substance abuse problems, and dirtied with graffiti. Nearly every time since we moved into the area and walked past, there are impaired or intoxicated people ruining the experience. Iris park is surrounded by a retirement home, some rentals, and single family homes. It would seem to be a wonderful location to sit by a pond and feed birds, but is instead an uncomfortable experience. Short of calling the police everytime I walk past, is there a better way to address this issue?

  • 1600 Ford Pkwy St Paul, MN 55116, USA - Highland

Ford Parkway between Snelling and Cleveland is pretty much one big series of large potholes, alternated with raised ridged areas.

  • 1500 Energy Park Dr St Paul, MN - Como

Weekday rush hour is horrible driving on Energy Park Drive! Speeds upwards of 50 mph between Raymond and Lexington near pedestrians and schools! St. Paul police - please put up brighter speed limit signs or temporary radar lit-up signs, and begin pulling people over. Police need to stop this and lay off the people on Lexington who are speeding simply because of a hill.

Doublas park upkeep is so bad! Not only is there an ancient rusty fence, but big old chuncks of concrete under the fence. There are grapevines invading my yard, the trees, and weeds are taking over the play sand

  • Bike lane Archived
Ruth St N St Paul, MN - Battle Creek

The bike lane that was added needs to be removed. I've lived in this area for over 15 years and travel up and down Ruth St everyday to get to work. I have seen maybe 10 bikers riding on Ruth St within the last decade and a half. This was a total waste of tax money and waste of space reducing street parking for residents on Ruth St.
