West Oakland Neighbors

There are at least three piles of trash on Wood Street under the MacArthur Fwy and where the Railroad tracks cross. Furniture, mattresses, random strewn garbage, and miscellaneous construction debris.

Illegal Dumping is something that I've witnessed a lot in West Oakland. Especially since I've move there about a year ago, I never knew how much people displace things in areas that they shouldn't or avoid throwing their trash instead of paying for the garbage people to pick it up. It's important to keep our community clean and avoid being senseless and reckless in the way we dispose of things. It's a good thing to be eco-friendly and conscious of the risks we put upon our area when we throw away things in a really careless manner.

There is an illegal recycling center being run from 3289 Hannah St. We have witnessed Money being exchanged for Recycelables on several occasions. This is bringing 20-100 homeless people down our street everyday and we have now had to pick up human feces from our front yard twice. They are building a structure in their front yard to house their collections today 3/17/12. Please please help us!
