The benches at the bus stop near the northwest corner of 40th and Broadway are broken and covered in weeds and graffiti.

On the corner of Wesley and Hillgirt Circle, Oakland, is a section of overgrown bushes, aloes and small trees which has grown overarching the sidewalk (from street side) and into the sidewalk from the homeowner's fence, impeding visibility ESPECIALLY in the darkness. It is a dangerous and unlighted section of sidewalk. At least one person was attacked in this location (my daughter). Passers by avoid this section of the block and for good reason, walking in the street instead which is not safe either. The bushes are so thick that a person could step back into them and be completely concealed from view. There is no streelight. The homeowners have declined to maintain the area outside their fence. As you can see from the photos, the area is very overgrown and impinging on the sidewalk. Imagine the person in the photograph dressed in black, at night. The Feet on the Street neighborhood lighting patrol group has observed this area; the entire neighborhood deems it to be unsafe; it was reported to public works last year by Hoang Banh, our Community Rep from OPD; neighbors on the Cleveland Heights Neighbors email group addressed the homeowners who have advised pedestrians "cross the street and walk there". FOS members attempted to petition the city for a streelight (1.5 years ago) but funding ran out before the petition was processed. Thank you for your attention. UPDATE: PARTIAL IMPROVEMENT BY HOMEOWNERS - THERE STILL NEEDS TO BE WORK DONE BY REMOVAL OF LARGE PINE TREES (NOT ALL PERHAPS EVERY OTHER ONE), ADDITIONAL STREET LIGHT, AND REMOVAL OF OVERGROWTH FROM YARD OVER SIDEWALK TO STREET.

What presumes to be an upscale hair salon has ignored the graffiti at its entrance. It is one of three businesses at this address, but the only one covered with graffiti.

There are 6 unrelated people living in this house with no indoor plumbing. There has been a portable "huge" toilet sitting out front of the house since they have not done anything about the plumbing problem. Five weeks ago when the city "inspector" and I use the term loosely, came out The lady of the house told him they had a transitional home for men in recovery from their church. When they couldn't or wouldn't get a permit for that they changed and said they had three men being boarded in their home (they have four and I can show photographs of all four of them) which is conveniently okay with the city to have three unrelated people living there. What happened to the fact that she told the inspector that she was running a transition home when first confronted. What happened to our rights? There is a school right across the street. I wonder what Bishop O'Dowd would think of these saints living here?

Excessive tall weeds and trash build up is unsightly for businesses and customers along eastshore frontage road. Numerous businesses are complaining of this unsightly environment, please remediate.

private school and oil change business are routinely not maintaining their properties along San Pablo. definitely the auto business excels over the schools up keep. Currently grass unkempt and two illegal dumps. this is the status 70% of the time. This neighborhood is changing quickly; not ok to ignore the residents around these businesses. It would be easier for the school to keep it clean rather than the city having to do it for them.
