All that new road construction , moving the lanes and closing part of old Orangeburg what is needed is a turning lane off old Orangeburg onto Plattsprings toward white knoll high school. The light stays green for 13 seconds, I know this because I sit at that light for at least 15minutes each weekday morning. The traffic is backed up to the elementary school , all this work was a waste without a turning lane the whole new road is a joke!

there are 3 schools on Platt Springs road within a few miles of each other so traffic is horrible, why don't they see this and install a light at least one on a timer when traffic is so bad, we sit on cannon some mornings for 10 min trying to get out.

The intersection at Shirway and Two Notch Rd is terrible in the mornings. This intersection needs a left turn lane added or a stop light added to allow traffic to flow. Each morning there is a 20 min wait at this intersection just to make a right turn; It is causing a safety hazard because school busses have a hard time trying to make a left turn at this intersection. Traffic backs up from this intersection on Shirway almost a half mile back.

At the intersections of McLee Road and Kyzer Road, there is a high amount of traffic volume all throughout the day, but especially early morning and between 3-6 pm. Many near accidents have occured at this location because of the high volume and the speed of which people travel through this intersection coming down Platt Springs Road. We desperately need a traffic light at this intersection.

The traffic in the mornings is not improving. At the beginnig of the school year we were told to give it 10 days. We are 4 weeks in and it takes an hour and a half to drop a child at MGMS and get to downtown Columbia. The traffic comining out of the school has got to be fixed.

I work in the shopping center in food lion right in redbank, it's been a problem with the loitering and pan handling lately, i've called lexington county many times due to harassment of customers with the men standing around outside, they're normally standing outside all day, walking up to customers asking for money, just sunday one of the black men had to be rushed to the hospital because he peed himself and fell asleep on our side walk, it's not good for business and many customers even have said and talked about how run down this side of town is getting because of not the proper authority taken to clean this mess up.

This is already a busy road, due to people use it as a cut through, CE & Taylor ( big trucks), and Red Bank Elem. being so close. The speed limit is 35 but does the traffic drive at 35 ( NO ) I live directly at the road and I'm so sick of all this traffic speeding and getting away with it. It's so hard to turn in your drive way due to people speeding and not paying attention. Something needs to be done and LCDC needs to in force the law. I'm to point where I think it may be time to move.
