The original closing was advertised to be "40 days" and it started on August 1. It has now been almost twice this long. The detours are arduous and essentially cuts off many residents "inside the beltline" from the banks and grocery store on Edwards Mill Road, especially during rush hour

The greenway crossing on Glen Eden over I-440 needs to have a pedestrian fence to prevent people from bicycles from falling onto I-440 and being killed. This could happen to children on bicycles, because the barrier is too low. This is a tragedy waiting to happen unless it is already planned to be corrected.
