I spent a great deal of time this week walking to the Town Beach. I was horrified at the litter, bottles, cans, broken glass, dog waste etc. I saw every few steps I took! Coe avenue is a disgrace with broken or non existing sidewalks, more litter of all sorts and not only is our gateway to the beach dirty, but the lack of real sidewalks, forces families and individuals to walk in the street among all of the speeding drivers. Our residents are very uniformed about protecting the environment, and it also seems that they just don't care. The major thing that stood out was that I did not see any, not one, " No Littering" sign with a $ penalty stated. Get tough those in leadership in East Haven and stop living "down" to your reputation!

There are constantly cars parked in this area watching the planes and loitering, drinking, littering, partying, and hanging out as well as pulling out into traffic carelessly at an extremely dangerous turn in the road. Today there were 10 cars on this small dirt driveway at once. Does the airport encourage people to watch planes from here?
