Notified About

  • South Boylan Avenue Raleigh, NC - Central
I have lived on South Boylan Avenue since 2002. Two of my cars have been hit while parked on my street. Three cars parked on the street were smashed last night. This brings the total of parked cars hit on the street since 2002 that I know about to more than 15. Something has to be done to slow these drivers down.
  • Western Boulevard Raleigh, North Carolina - Southwest
Many, many times I have witnessed cars coming from Boylan Avenue drive the wrong way down Western Blvd in order to turn left, which is currently not possible to do in either direction without this insanely dangerous maneuver. Crossing the street as a pedestrian is also hazardous as many cars do not stop even when the light has changed. I and my neighbors have nearly been hit many times by cars who do not stop. There should be a light triggered by cars or by a pedestrian walk request as there is at Western and Hunt by the prison.
  • Western Boulevard Raleigh, North Carolina - Central
The intersection of Western Blvd and Boylan Ave remains a problem. In the last three days I have nearly been hit by a car that did not recognize the red light as relevant to their desire to turn left from Western onto Boylan and seen three other cars turning onto Western from Boylan run the red light for pedestrian crossing. Cars do not know where to stop (for westbound traffic on Western some go through the intersection and stop by the walkway others stop before the intersection, eastbound cars on Western turning left onto Boylan do not always stop before the crosswalk but seek to turn while the cars are stopped on Western). All of this is very hazardous for pedestrians and motorists. Is there some kind of signage to alert those turning onto Western from Boylan that they should be alert to the possibility of a red light at the crosswalk? Should the crosswalk be moved? Is there a sign to inform turning traffic from Western onto Boylan about where to stop or can an additional light be placed over the turn lane? I don't know the best solution, but this is an ongoing problem.
  • 1000 Dorothea Drive Raleigh, NC 27603, USA - Central
The road up to the sewer grate at 1000 Dorothea dr is improperly graded which leads to putrid standing water and mud in all seasons and hundreds of mosquitoes in warmer weather which is a potential public health risk. Please please pretty please fix it. We have talked to many departments about his but everyone says it's another department's domain. Thanks!
  • Boylan Heights Raleigh, North Carolina - Central
Boylan Heights needs some public garbage receptacles. In addition to helping with general trash and litter removal, many people do not want dog waste bags put into their personal trash cans since they are not always upended by the solid waste services. But as a dog owner who does pick up after my dog, it would likely improve compliance with pet waste ordinances and all other trash in the neighborhood if there were easily accessible garbage cans for the public to use.
  • 513 Rosengarten Alley Raleigh, North Carolina - Central
A 20+ foot section of the bank along Rosengarten Alley has washed away. Further erosion will impact safe travel for any drivers along Rosengarten Alley.
  • 505 Rosengarten Alley Raleigh Nc - Central
Two areas of Rosengarten Alley are now impacted by the creek bank collapse. Rains washed away significant portions of the bank eating into the city street travel lane. This is a potential danger to drivers, pedestrians and residents.
  • 506 S Saunders St Raleigh, NC 27603, USA - Central
I believe these are phone lines that are down. They were wrapped around at least 3 poles on this street but have come undone. They need to be removed as they are unsightly and a tripping hazard.
  • Western Boulevard & Boylan Avenue Raleigh North Carolina - Central
Issue at the pedestrian crossing on Western Blvd. Cars on westbound Western stopped before Boylan at the lights. Traffic still turning right off Boylan on Western . There is no signage, nothing for drivers here. It's very confusing and very dangerous for pedestrians.
  • Damaged Pole Archived
617 S Boylan Ave Raleigh, NC - Central
A power pole on the corner of South and Boylan was hit by a car. The base was splintered and the pole just hangs from the lines now. Progress Energy has been notified several times with no result.
  • S Saunders St Raleigh, NC - Central
There are a lot of drivers speeding through our residential area on this section of South Saunders. Many of these drivers do not reside in our neighborhood but use the street as a cut-through.
  • 820 South Boylan Avenue Raleigh, North Carolina - Southwest
This is a mess. Cars coming out of Dix Park from Boylan are turning left onto Western Blvd when the light turns red for Western Blvd.
