Boylan Heights Neighborhood

I have lived on South Boylan Avenue since 2002. Two of my cars have been hit while parked on my street. Three cars parked on the street were smashed last night. This brings the total of parked cars hit on the street since 2002 that I know about to more than 15. Something has to be done to slow these drivers down.

I believe these are phone lines that are down. They were wrapped around at least 3 poles on this street but have come undone. They need to be removed as they are unsightly and a tripping hazard.

There are a lot of drivers speeding through our residential area on this section of South Saunders. Many of these drivers do not reside in our neighborhood but use the street as a cut-through.

A power pole on the corner of South and Boylan was hit by a car. The base was splintered and the pole just hangs from the lines now. Progress Energy has been notified several times with no result.

The sidewalk along Boylan Ave has become impassable due to the jungle from the "garden" at the residence at 805 W South St.

Boylan & lenoir, eastbound southside, red pedestrian light is out.

I was standing on the corner of Cutler and Mountford cause I smelled smoke. I looked down onto the tracks and some homeless people have set up a camp just off the tracks between the tracks and the prison. Tents and all.

Storm drain cover has collapsed. Needs to be replaced.

For about a month the wall along Western Blvd at S Boylan Ave has had a huge hole in it. Perhaps a car went through it?

The sidewalk on the north side of the 700 block of South Boylan has some major problems. While many other sections of S. Boylan have been repaired or at least marked with orange paint, nothing has been done. There are places with a 2-3 inch gap between blocks. Are there plans to fix this?
