-
1427 3rd St Santa Monica, CA 90401 - Santa MonicaAlong the promenade, demand for bike parking often overwhelms supply. Bikes often attached to trees and other less secure objects.

Sitting Water/Sewage Archived904 W. 28th St. Los Angeles, CA - South Los AngelesThere seems to be a drainage problem on this street because an excess of water and sewage is sitting on the sides of the street, giving off a horrid smell and presenting a potential health hazard. This also is providing flies and mosquitos with a place to lay eggs encouraging an infestation.
-
Huge potholes in busy traffic area Archived1049 S Westwood Blvd Los Angeles, CA - WestwoodAlong this stretch between Le Conte and Lindbrook are huge potholes in southbound traffic. Bicyclists unfamiliar with the area who leave a wide berth to allow for the door zone could hit these. The rest of us swerve to avoid them, which may aggravate car drivers.
-
Sidewalk Trip Hazard Archived3334 Rutgers Ave Long Beach, California - East SideThe sidewalk on our block is very damaged, in one place it's so bad it's at about a 35 degree tilt. The street is very dark at night and people trip and fall on it. By day, children use it as a bike ramp. Something needs to be done about it before anybody gets seriously injured.

Westwood/Pico NEEDS bike lane!! Archived2451 Westwood Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90064 - West Los AngelesA lot of UCLA commuters head north/south on Westwood near Pico, and with the busy traffic where Westwood turns into one lane, mall traffic, and Pico traffic, bicycling commuters need to be protected and let the world know they can be on the road. I've been honked at and swerved around numerous times in this neighborhood!
-
Bus Stop Waste Management Archived11066-11078 Santa Monica Blvd Los Angeles, CA - West Los AngelesWe need more bins (preferably with lids and solid exteriors). We currently have a single bin with no lid and is made of mesh material, that allows litter to slip out. An accompanying recycle bin would also be much appreciated.
-
2300 Pacific Venice, CA - VeniceUnsafe for pedestrians and residences, Pacific is dark for several blocks between South Venice Blvd and Washington with all street lights out.
-
Potholes ArchivedKeystone & Woodbine Streeet Los Angeles, CA 90034 - Palms
Terrible potholes at the intersection.
(The city repaved Woodbine street, EXCEPT where the potholes are at Keystone.)
If they could simply REPAVE the INTERSECTION itself, that would be a tremendous improvement!
Also, who is responsible for alleys? the potholes in the alleys (between Keystone and Mentone, North of Palms and South of Rose Avenue) are horrible!
UPDATE:
The potholes were poorly filled about a year ago and the filling is gone. Now the potholes are back - and BIGGER. Right now, they are filled with water. I fear ANOTHER bicycle rider will not realize how deep the water is, and that he will also fall and GET HURT. -
Gang Graffiti, Potholes, No Lighting Archived216 South Avenue 64 los angeles, ca - Highland Parkthe offramp of the 110 freeway is littered with gang graffiti and also potholes, and the area is very dimly lit and scary when exiting late at night. the area needs more lighting

Swastika Graffiti Archived5200 W 4th Street Los Angeles CA 90020 - Mid WilshireThere is what appears to be an old swastika scratched into the roadway of 4th Street at its intersection with Las Palmas (nearest the northeast corner). I previously reported another swastika found also on 4th Street, slightly more than one block to the east.

239 S Alhambra Ave Monterey Park, CA 91755, USA - Monterey ParkShopping carts are routinely left on sidewalks in Monterey Park. It is utterly disgusting. There are people that pick up these carts for the supermarkets on weekdays. Nevertheless, carts are left for two, three or four days on the sidewalks if it is a holiday like the past weekend. Some residences dump their shopping carts on the street on a daily basis. The people at City Hall has done nothing about it. It is shameful we pay these people and don't enforce the city ordinance. Monterey Park is a terrible place to live!!!
