jaywalkers Open625-649 State Highway 59 Pontiac, MI 48341, USA - Pontiac
Too many people Jaywalk across Huron to go to the party store. I know there has been at least one death in the past year. I have taken to yelling at them. Please join join me and when you see someone Jaywalking across Huron yell "hey you, cross at the light, do you want to die? "
The same problem is at the court house down town. people park and don't want to walk the extra 5-30 feet to cross at the light.
I would like to see the Pontiac Police issue some tickets in these areas. A patrolman parked on Huron for 2 hours once a week would probably rack up 20 jaywalking tickets.· Fix it! Voted! · Share -

Timing of lights Open2-98 Waldo St Pontiac, MI 48341, USA - Pontiac
I can't drive down M-59 between Telegraph and Woodward without wasting a gallon of gas stopping at every red light. Fix the timing of the lights so I don't stop every 500ft. or replace the lights at small intersections with flashing yellow.

4 Rosshire Ct Pontiac, MI 48341, USA - Pontiac
Always trash and trash containers on the curb. Units are in ill repair including one boarded up, one fire damaged, two open to the elements. Pontiac should should have better standards for its property. There is a problem of who to cite because of the multiple owners of the units. This will require a political or governmental solution. Where is the dialogue that addresses the complexity of the issues that tie up process/progress? The poor conditions breed the drugs and crime that we find ourselves defined by.
About two weeks ago (first of Feb) the complex was cleaned up much to my surprise. Today there are a number of furniture bits and pieces on the curb. Let's see if it gets picked up tomorrow.

Myra Ave Pontiac, MI 48341, USA - Pontiac
Loud, Intrusive Low Frequency Noise causes ear pain, sleep loss; obvious vibrations and amplification in buildings. Can last hours, even in the dead of night (3-4am) even between Sunday to Monday morning when there is little to no activity outside. Semi/diesel truck idling? Seems a bit long. Factory, other, not sure. Please look into this and find a way to stop it. Was present in the early summer months, went away and is now back again. Happening now: 4:42am Thu Oct 18th for an hour or more. Not sourced in home; outside cause.
Update 1/3/13: Issue not solved but is somewhat less frequent and intense than it was throughout October and other months.
Update 4/16/2013: 3:18 AM and the noise is pulsing away, intense and loud. As reported in January, it stayed less frequent in the winter months if it was heard at all. March showed a return and increase in frequency and loudness. Now April is here and it is getting ridiculous; almost going 24/7 and not diminished by white noise from traffic or anything else. Pillows and earplugs do not work as it goes right through. Others who cannot hear it at such a low frequency have told me they do feel like they've been in a loud concert or club too long; their ears ache for no reason and sleep is disturbed. Someone mentioned the Windsor Hum again that originates supposedly at Zug Island and can effect people 50 miles out. Whether it is or isn't, I truly hope the sound stops once and for all. There is no good time to sleep and even when awake, it hurts. Vibrates right through the home. Takes the term noise pollution to a new level. It's pretty sad that it still effects those who aren't even hearing it like I am. Well, good sleep to all and I hope you're no where near whatever this is.
Update 4/21/2013: See the update above and in comments below. It is just bad this month...

Local Traffic Only OpenVoorheis (Telegraph To M59) - Pontiac
The residents along Voorheis find it very difficult to pull out of their own neighborhoods during high traffic volumes. Also, drivers (non-residents) cut through neighborhoods, speeding, during these times regardless of what signs say.
