Hamden Plains

Reckless drivers come down Benham street at extremely high rates of speed. People entering from side streets, driveways, churches etc. take their lives into their hands. Needs to be some sort of traffic/speed calming here.

Impossible to exit from Hamden High on to Dixwell/Connolly Pkwy esp. in AM - need green arrow from HHS driveway to go left (North) on Dixwell and longer green, intersection gets blocked and people run the red; dangerous!!

Another Accident Yesterday- Car flying down Benham clipped another trying to make a turn on to Hope St.- Person in hit car was injured! When is the Hamden PD going to wake up and slow these people down- Are they going to wait until somebody gets killed? Wait- There was a head-on fatality several years ago! I have questioned the officers who respond to these accidents- Their Response? "There's nothing we can do". If the Traffic Division can't do anything about this major problem, why are we paying for a Traffic Division- So they can sit in their cars under the Connolly Parkway overpass or behind 1125 Dixwell? Get your fat butts out of your cars, pick up a radar gun, write some tickets, and Slow These Idiots Down- It's what you are paid to do!

between 7 & 10 am commuters barrel down lakeview over 50mph. There are more than 4 bus stops for kids on the street, and someone is going to get killed.

Drivers are speeding through thr red lights!

We're getting tired of the ongoing drug use and, we suspect, dealing taking place in the third base dugout at the southern ballfield by people who are clearly not there to play ball. I am tired of picking up the leftover ziplock bags and my neighbor turned in a container of needles he picked up to the cops, who took it with a shrug. This goes on almost every afternoon around 3 or so. Our town council rep, whose yard backs on this park and is a cop in his day job, has shown little interest in this problem.
