Shelton, CT

Oak Ave, Perry Hill Rd., Center St., and Bridgeport Ave., all converge at one intersection. Many times cars coming down Perry Hill Rd., ignore the stop sign and blow through the intersection. Many times I am waiting at the stop sign to turn onto Briegeport ave., and when I can finally turn safely, a vehile will come down Perry Hill Rd., and cut me off. I have been almost hit several times. A traffice light, with no turn on red, needs to be placed at that intersecion,

There is always a long traffic line on Constitution Boulevard North (in the morning, during the school year). If there were two lanes, the people who need to go to SIS could immediately go to SIS without having to sit in traffic which would help some of the traffic congestion.

I wish people would stop. I walk to and from work everyday, and the amount of people I see talking/texting while they are driving Yes!!!! Heaven help the individual driver who hits a pedestrian while talking/texting while driving. I have seen individuals in state cars, UI employees, Yankee Gas, young men and ladies, even a policeman. I feel like going around and putting signs on motor vehicles to stop with the talking/texting madness.
Take the NO PHONE ZONE pledge that OPRAH has . Be a little conscious of the people around you. If you don't value your life, don't assume that someone else shares your opinion. JUST DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!
STARTING MONDAY APRIL 18, 2011 LICENSE PLATE NUMBERS ARE GOING TO BE POSTED, AND EVERY DAY AFTER~~ THE PD NEEDS TO BE DOWNTOWN EVERYDAY IN ORDER TO STOP THE TEXTERS. PARENTS, YOUR CHILDREN ARE DOING IT!!!!! BUSINESS EMPLOYEES, YOUNG AND OLDER DRIVERS.

OTHERS ARE TEXTING AND TURNING RIGHT ON RED WHEN THE SIGN CLEARLY STATES "NO TURN ON RED"

Not your normal teen use going on at the slab. A police patrol on bike would be helpful to make it safer at night. Between the sharing of drugs and cheap bottles of booze its only a matter of time before someones kid drowns or is beat up.

Why can't Shelton get the downtown traffic lights in sync with one another? Put them in sync and no more traffice jams down there. If money is an issue, start ticketing the people blocking the intersections.

This pic is from earlier today. Now that the Chromium building is down the poor condition of the Conti building (especially the back) is in full view of the river walk and the newer part of Canal.

You can't put a new parking lot in and expand the river walk and have a nice looking farmer's market with THIS hovering over it all. The side isn't much better and the front? It makes the newer buildings like Dunkin Donuts and the great new residential commercial building on the corner of Howe and Bridge look like they lead to a run down factory.

I trust Shelton is working with the owners to revitalize one of the final remaining eyesores? (Spongex being the other).

No enforcement of pedestrian right of way in crosswalk. Drivers no stopping but just swerving around people in Crosswalk. Even had a patrol car from Shelton Police do this.
