Stop Sign Violation OpenNewcomb Ave San Francisco, CA 00 - Bayview
Routinely, the 4 way stop signs at Newcomb and Keith streets are ignored by speeding drivers. We have elders crossing the streets in fear after they get off the MUNI and children going to school down the hill.

Homeless Family Open918 Newhall St San Francisco, CA - Bayview
An apparently homeless family has been living out of a maroon Honda (with white racing stripe) on Newhall between Jerrold and Kirkwood. The kids are very small, 0-6mo. and ~2 years. I have seen the father more than the mother and feel badly for them, of course, but the father is rather sketchy in his appearance and how he looks around at people in the neighborhood. He also left a gallon container of used car oil uncapped just out on the curb after changing the oil on a car in the street (Newhall), presumably for some money. It would be nice if they kids were checked up on but really I would like to just have the family and the car checked occasionally because as a resident of the block (around the corner from where they are staying) I'm not interested in welcoming more sketchy characters in to the neighborhood.
**Update (10/15/11)- the kids and the mom are presumably gone. The car must've been towed but homeboy is still sketcherific. Still doing illegal mechanic work but not with the same frequency. There are several containers of uncapped used motor oil to be found at the NW corner of Kirkwood and Newhall right now. Yesterday he was riding a bike down Kirkwood and stole someone's rolling Recology bin.· Fix it! Voted! · Share -
STOP!!! OpenMaddux Ave San Francisco, California - Bayview
Stop signs are desperately needed for this intersection. Cars traveling on Maddux speed up and down the hill making it dangerous for any vehicles traveling on Quint and Revere streets.

1 Potrero Ave San Francisco, CA - Mission
Some years ago, Potrero Avenue was repaved along its entire length. In a monumental case of poor planning, shortly thereafter PG&E ripped up the new pavement and replaced the gas lines along the entire length of the road. This destroyed the bike lanes' integrity along both sides. (Most noticeable between 16th and 24th Streets.) Currently they are rideable only with great annoyance and difficulty. (I have many broken spokes to prove it.)

Zoning Issues and Illegal Signs Archived4800 3rd Street San Francisco, CA 94124, USA - Bayview
To: Jonathan Purvis (SF Planning Department)
Jonathan.purvis@sfgov.org
Nicholas Colla (City Attorney)
Nicholas.Colla@sfgov.orgSubject: NOTICE OF VIOLATION Case# 11978 (4801 3rd Street)
Mr. Purvis,
On January 8, 2012 you placed a Notice of Violation for General Advertising Sign on 4801 3rd Street. This NOV is for (2) two large advertising signs placed on blighted property for Diane Wesley Smith of Bayview Real Estate. Per the NOV the owner of the property Mr. Curlee Bishop Sr. had 30 days from the date post-marked on the notice to: 1) apply for a building permit to remove the signs; or 2) request reconsideration of the NOV. Failure to act would result in $100.00 per day per sign. The 30 days from the date post-marked has now expired. Can you let me know if Mr. Curlee Bishop has 1) applied for a building permit to remove the signs; or 2) request reconsideration of the NOV? Also, per the NOV if Mr. Curlee Bishop applies for reconsideration of the NOV it would require $3,400.00 for an initial hearing.
The signs posted on this blighted property have and continue to be public eyesore. I’m requesting that if Mr. Curlee Bishop has not 1) applied for a building permit to remove the signs; or 2) request reconsideration of the NOV and paid the $3,400.00 for an initial hearing that this NOV be immediately referred to Nicholas Colla at the City Attorney’s office for failure to act and penalties of $100.00 per day per sign be accessed against the property owner. Thanks.
