RIght turn red arrow OpenEastbound Bonifant Road At Notley Road Silver Spring, MD - Colesville
There is no reason to prevent eastbound cars on Bonifant Rd. from turning right (south) onto Notley Road other than to discourage traffic from using Notley Road. No road enters from the left. Waiting for a green right arrow wastes time and gas and increases pollution, and going straight on Bonifant Rd. to turn right (south) on New Hampshire Ave. wastes time and gas and increases pollution.

Dangerous Drive OpenSherwood Forest Dr And Randolph Rd Colesville, MD - Colesville
Traffic accidents occur weekly on Randolph road between Kemp Mill and New Hampshire Ave. We should have at least on more traffic lights between Kemp Mill and New Hampshire Ave. There have deaths along this segment of Randolph road that were attributed to undue speed.

14600 New Hampshire Ave Colesville, MD 20905, USA - Colesville
The left turn-only arrow from northbound New Hampshire Avenue onto eastbound Bonifant Road is not needed. It is a huge hindrance for anyone turning left onto Bonifant, because New Hampshire is lightly traveled in that area (except for rush hour). It is a waste of time and gas to wait at that light when there is *no* traffic coming the other way.
In addition, it forces traffic to U-turn farther north where Stonegate Dr. intersects New Hampshire -- a dangerous situation, with a limited sight line of cars coming south on New Hampshire at that particular point. Or cars turn left onto Stonegate and into the Stonegate neighborhood, putting even more traffic onto this neighborhood street.
I have no idea why this light was changed in the first place; it used to be you could turn left (after yielding to oncoming traffic, of course) during the entire green light cycle. No explanation was given to my knowledge, and I don't think there was ever a meeting held on the matter.
Please change that light back to what it was before!

Light cycle needs to be adjusted ArchivedHermleigh Rd And Kemp Mill Rd Silver Spring, MD - Montgomery County - Mid County
More preference needs to be given to traffic on Kemp Mill Rd -- keep it green longer -- traffic backs up on Kemp Mill Rd to Randolph Rd during morning rush hour because the light at Hermleigh changes too often, even when there is no traffic coming out of Hermleigh -- either fix the sensor so the light only changes when there's a car waiting on Hermleigh or adjust the timing so Kemp Mill gets a longer green -- thanks!

14658 14698 Jaystone Dr Colesville, MD 20905, USA - Colesville
Carona Drive is nearly a mile long. It is also heavily used for jogging, walking, bike riding, and other outdoor activities.
For the whole length there is one stop sign. A recent study proves that average speed is 15 mph over the speed limit.
Cars traveling 50 mph are not uncommon.
Carona Drive should be redesigned to reduce speed. Circles at each intersection, narrow the road, add lines, speed bumps or rumble strips, white lines to buffer traffic from the sides especially where there are no side walks on either side.

MEDICAL/UTILITY EMERGENCY! Archived2101 Fairland Road Silver Spring, MD - Fairland
The nursing home has been running on a generator since Sunday afternoon. Federal and State regulations require that a medical facility keep room tempratures at least 75 degrees. This is impossible given the circumstances! Elderly people cannot withstand the heat and this could potentially be life threatening! PEPCO- Come on!
