The developers of the Shartenberg tower have had trouble recruiting the likes of Trader Joe's and Whole Foods to occupy retail space in the tower. Citizens need to get involved in persuading out-of-town retailers to consider this space (i.e., Fairway in NYC). Interested grocers should contact the City of New Haven Economic Development Office.

745-807 Chapel St New Haven, CT 06510, USA - DowntownPeople who wait for the bus St 746 chapel litter everywhere though the Pail 20 ft away.
Due to pour shoveling people are now waiting by the trash pail and there is no garbage. See photo. Let's move the bus stop away from the front of the office. There is no shelter here and people litter and loiter in the lobby.

Right hand lane from State towards Temple should be made bus/bike/parking vehicles only during peak hour (like many streets in Paris and NYC) in order to speed up service for riders and promote downtown walkability.
