Notified About

  • Creedmoor And Howard Raleigh, NC - Raleigh Council District A
This is a very dangerous intersection to make a left turn in, specifically heading north turning onto Howard. The turn should be made a left-arrow only turn.
  • 2100 Ridge Road Raleigh, NC - Glenwood

My daughter walks to and from Lacy Elementary every day in her wheelchair from our house at 2100 Ridge Road. She has Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as Brittle Bones, which means her bones break very easily. There are several places along that walk (on the southern or even numbered side of Ridge) where the earth on one or both of the sidewalk edges is dangerously low and could cause her wheelchair to tip over if her wheel goes off the edge. This is a potentially fatal hazard for her. She is in first grade and will be using this sidewalk for the next 8 years (through middle school). I would love to get some help to fix the areas that are hazardous. Would it be possible to meet with someone to look at this with me? If not, I have written down the addresses of most of the areas. The area of most concern is from the intersection of Lake Boone Trail and Ridge to 1900 Ridge. This section of sidewalk is narrower due to the bushes on the southern side encroaching on the sidewalk and then a 2" plus drop off on the other side. We had a scary close call there this week, which finally motivated me to write to you.

The other areas that I have noted were at 1908 Ridge, 1920 Ridge, 1924 Ridge, and 2000 Ridge.

Could you please look at the curb access on both sides of Lake Boone trail? As we cross and get on and off the curb you have to go down towards the line of traffic due to the angle of the curb cuts.

Please feel free to contact me if you need further information or guidance. Thank yo uso much for helping us with this.

    Sincerely,
    Sarah and Jim Sullivan

  • Brownleigh Drive And Glenwood Ave Raleigh, NC - Northwest
The entry into Brownleigh Business Park onto Brownleigh Drive from Glenwood is very dangerous. The crossover for west bound traffic is mis-located 50' too far east for this turn and makes a west-bound turn very dangerous. An east-bound turn is lacking a de-acceleration (from 45 mph) exit lane - also very dangerous. Persons wanting to go into the business park must go up to Ebenezer Church Road exit and enter the park from the back entrance. This is unknown to many visitors and very inconvenient to workers in the business park.
  • Rowan St And Six Forks Raleigh, NC - Six Forks Corridor
A left turn light is needed when turning onto Six Forks from Rowan Street by St. Timothy's School. This is especially needed during school arrival and dismissal. The cars turing left onto Six Forks from St. Timothy's School and the cars turning left onto Six Forks from Carroll Middle School have trouble safely turning. Please fix this before there is a severe accident and a child from one of the schools is hurt.

  • 6648-6698 Mafolie Court Raleigh, NC 27613, USA - Northwest
Our neighborhood streets (2 total) appear to have never been completed. They are quite uneven and continue to deteriorate.
  • 817 Northbrook Drive Raleigh, NC 27609, USA - Six Forks
Three speed hunps on Northbrook are too high, and were installed in violation of the City of Raleigh Neighborhood Traffic Management Program, section 4.3.2. The city's own traffic count was 4,120, so speed humps should never have been considered. These public nuisances should be removed immediately.

4309 Pamlico Dr Raleigh, NC 27609, USA - Six Forks
Please paint white lines on Rowan St. at the base of the stop signs in both directions. This intersection has been conducive to drivers running the stop signs for many years and the city has already invested heavily in trying to prevent this. However, I believe a solution as simple as white lines on the street would provide the necessary visual queue for drivers approaching the intersection on Rowan St.
