While I was on the Downtown Shuttle on 8/26/14, the LRTA driver was texting while driving. This is obviously unsafe and illegal. I have also called and emailed the LRTA about this issue but have not yet received a response. I took the attached photo while we were stopped at a light on The Lord Overpass.

Despite traffic signage of 25 mph, despite dangerous area d/t narrow, curving lanes, despite cell phone usage and texting, despite the fact that we just had a horrible fatal accident, I experience drivers passing me when I am even at 35 mph! I never see police presence, and I live right in this area. Please police this area! Thank you.

There are many oneway streets in my neiborhood and the drivers are not looking both ways. While turning left or right they only look in the direction the trafic. Also, they are texting while driving. I think if we all had a 211, 411 or a 911 setup to report the time and liscence # it would stop.
  • 14 Beech St Massachusetts - Chelmsford

Every morning while kids are waiting for buses, several J&L cable trucks from the business on Middlesex St speed down beech st around 830am from Princeton, estimated speed 40-50mph, often texting while driving.

Request for traffic monitoring during business day mornings to discourage this and protect the neighbor children at bus stops.

  • Elm Steet Framingham, MA - Framingham
Ive posted about this before and clearly no one sees an issue with this since no police detail this stretch of road. Constant speeding way over the 30mph and more importantly the 20mph when schools are getting out. It's like I'm in the fast lane on 128 over here. I've called and left message at the police station and no one ever gets back to me. I'd like to know WHY the police don't patrol for speeders around the street and particularly Framingham especially with all the horrible accidents of late. It's scary that one of these kids could get killed by speeders and worse speeders who are texting too.
  • Horace Street Needham, MA - Needham
A resident would like to pursue getting a SLOW DOWN - CHILDREN AT PLAY sign on Horace Street. Many drivers are texting and speeding through Horace Street and there are many children on this street.

j walkers, very dangerous, i got rear ended by someone texting whiles stopping for a junkie
  • 205 Tremont St Melrose, MA 02176, USA - Melrose
A large number of people drive right through this stop sign, many without even looking. I live right on Melrose St and can see this intersection from my window and it is unbelievable how many people simply disregard teh stop sogn. I find it particularly dangerous as there are so many children/teens walking around that area due to the local schools. My son was almost hit on his bike crossing the street in the crosswalk there, a person was texting instead of watching the road and I saw her car's bumper about a foot or less from my son's rear bike tire. Talk about scary! I think this issue should be addressed, perhaps a detail every once in a while, so people won't know when they are there and when not (police ) so they may get in the habit of stopping finally.

Since school has started, almost every morning or evening I come into contact with a parent dropping/picking up their child off at this in-home day care. Once they drop the child off they speed out of the driveway. Come to a stop, and don't move because they start texting, do illegal U-turns, leave their car doors open on the main road, etc.

Rules need to be set up for this in home business in our residential neighborhood. Not sure if she runs an illegal or legal daycare service. No more illegal U-turns, or pulling out of the driveway. The speed limit is 30 miles an hour in the neighborhood. Police may need to be notified.
