Is there not an ordinance against throwing trash into yards and driveways? This house is unoccupied, yet the HSV Times carrier throws papers there several times a week. There are currently 9 papers turning into plastic shrouded mush. We pick them up to throw away often but can’t keep up. This is an eyesore and is LITTERING. I’ve calked the HSV Times to ask that this be stopped but they refuse because I am not the property owner.

New street under development in the Dairy at Oak Grove. New street name is South Meadows Drive. At one point in time I ran into Joel Ostrander (site supervisor with Davidson Homes) and asked him when the street lights would be put in and he said he didn't know and they weren't planning on installing them. I thought this was the responsibility of the builder / land developer to install these along with the city. Homeowners will be moving onto that street in 2 months or less and this will pose a security risk.

Here we go AGAIN! The intersections of Chaney Thompson - Mt. Gap and Chaney Thompson - Wynsom are back to being very dangerous during school drop off and pick up times. I witnessed 2 near misses on Chaney Thompson and 3-4 on Wynsom this morning alone. All of these were from drivers not following traffic laws: making U-turns at street entrances, not yielding to oncoming traffic, not having proper following distances (sometimes barely any distance at all), etc. We have asked repeatedly for increased traffic enforcement at these intersections. It has been periodically provided and individuals continue the dangerous behaviors in front of officers with no penalty. At what point is the safety of those around the school important? I've been nearly hit several times by people using my driveway as a turnaround at unsafe speeds. When will the safety of children walking home become a priority? Please help make our neighborhood safe again.

Increased traffic and excessive westbound speeds on weatherly are making left turns from Hickory Hill difficult and dangerous. It’s becoming a 50mph road and that’s difficult to turn on to.

A telcom contractor is adding more cable to an old pole marked for over a year to be replaced and is being held up to the new pole with wire. Why doesn't the city enforce the agreement with these companies and force them to move their lines to the new poles?

The only thing preventing this pole from falling into Whitesburg Dr is that the lines on the leaning pole are hitting the new pole. We know Huntsville Utilities can only move their lines. Why doesn't the city get AT&T, WOW & Comcast to move their lines?

Telecome installer drove on my lawn, leaving ruts. They also left an unburied cable, and left the telecom box open with wires hanging everywhere.

Corner of Essex dr and buckingham. House has 2 shipping crates in yard along with trees cut up for selling along with house next door in Essex. Crates have bee there more than a year along with all the piles of wood in yard. Unsightly and breeds animals

What is it going to take for some form of enforcement on speeding issues on Chicamauga Trail!!! Wreck, injury, the news!

The issue was closed by the city but no information regarding the issue. The speeding is getting ridiculous. What about a speed sign that lights up and takes pictures of license plates and shows speed, traffic patrol, redirection of traffic, more speed bumps, something.

Upon completion of the sidewalk upgrade & paving of Valley View Dr, the work-crew deposited leftover asphalt material onto the corner of VV & Weatherly RD, near the Stop sign. {I understand from the City I am responsible for upkeep of this area & will do so, mowing it & clipping tree branches to maintain visibility for traffic.} It is a small mess, but problematic. If you could have a crew simply clear off the asphalt material thrown about, I can & will take it from there... no replanting required.
However, you might inspect the level of finish & debris left at where the sidewalk was modified - is that up to spec? Thanks,

This cable has been running from the box, across the sidewalk, down the gutter, and back up across the sidewalk two houses down since Sept 1, 2018, and for an unknown amount of time before (we saw it when looking at the house around Labor Day, then we bought the house and moved in, and there's been no change). We have contacted WOW three times in the last 4 weeks, and contrary to their promises to take care of it right away, nothing has been done. Is this violating any city ordinance? Could the city contact WOW and strongly encourage them to take care of this?
