Put more extreme rides at the Space and Rocket Center. Like scary roller coaster rides, water rides, mission space ride like in Disney World. This would help the city and the space center with bring in more revenue.

Provide a walkway/bike path connection along the creek from downtown to Lowe Mill. This will encourage more retail along a pedestrian friendly corridor. This links the Embassy Suites and VBC area to Lowe Mill.

Need to build new stadium that will make city proud and excited about the Stars again! Look at Montgomery! Theyre new stadium is packed every night and after living there 3 years I really miss those games but would love to see that here in The Rocket City. They came up with a great theme and setup. 100% that can be done here! Were better than they are right!!!

Create a live, train/educate, play corridor that will attract medical personnel for training and internships. All of which will boost economic development with the need for places to live, eat and play.
The city has a great thing going with the UAB Huntsville Regional Medical Campus on Governors Drive which offers a “community-based clinical education program for junior and senior medical students in the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Through its full two-year curriculum, Huntsville provides all required and elective clinical experience necessary for completion of the M.D. degree.” Also: ”Huntsville's clinical component has been planned from the outset as a community-based program, including in its educational program the physicians, professional personnel, and clinical facilities already established in the area. Physicians and other health professionals throughout North Alabama work with the Huntsville campus faculty to plan and teach the undergraduate and Family Practice resident programs.” Why can’t this be built upon and expanded down Governors Drive west of the Parkway? There was talk about it years ago and it has the potential to grow into a regional hub that will greatly impact our economy. The medical field covers a lot of territory and there could be training for everything from physicians and nurses to lab technicians to all medical support personnel! The area that is ripe for redevelopment and large enough to house such an endeavor is west of the Parkway from where Butler Terrace is up the hill to the interstate. It is on the northern side of Governors Drive back to Holmes Avenue or at least where Hall Street and the old Stone Middle School is located but basically all of the frontage on west Governors on the north side of the street. The cancer treatment center is already along this path, just take it from there and head east up to the Parkway.

Serious effort in restoring infrastructure of all older subdivisions between Oakwood and Winchesters Rds. Get residential input on what is needed for their areas. Plus utilize all empty buildings in Huntsville area instead of building new ones. If cannot use tear down and leave open for new construction if needed.

This is the former Winn Dixie site known as Cross Roads Shopping Center. The Kroger on Drake Avenue needs some competition. This old Winn Dixie was not closed due to a lack of patrons; it was a nationwide corporate decision to close stores in Huntsville. We would love to see a small Publix Market here. We are tired of driving all the way down Whitesburg Drive or across Monte Sano Mountain to shop at Publix. This is the perfect location for a grocery store!

Surround and market this area as one unit. The connected space from Joe Davis to Golf Course already includes hockey, baseball/football, softball, golf, tennis, soccer, cross country. Add hotel and eateries to increase tourism dollar for youth events. More fields and concessions/restrooms throughout. Rebuild Joe Davis as a true multipurpose. Not only generate sales tax and lodging but each area could be corporate sponsored and then marketed as such.
