Notified About

  • 4209 Walney Rd Chantilly, VA - Chantilly
One of the key things we need to do are to enforce laws that are already on the books with respect to signage (remove them and charge them fines - $100 per sign). I plan on calling VDOT again this week with respect to tremendous growth of signs along RT50, Walney, and Willard. I called 3 businesses a few weeks ago and told them I would going to report them if they weren’t removed (within a week) but alas they are still there. Especially flagrant of all laws and common decency about being a good neighbor are the marble and granite businesses in the area. I estimate these businesses have 50 signs put up within a 2 mile radius. Signs that are attached to traffic posts, utility/power poles, in common areas along the sidewalks in front of other businesses, in trees, and anywhere else they can find a spot for them. If you are like me, I am fed up with all the tacky advertising signs that ruin our landscape, devalue property, and interfere with the right of way along our roads. Give businesses a fair playing field for advertising that doesn't include these sort of advertising tactics and illegal use of taxpayer-provided infrastructure.
  • 3943-3999 Lees Corner Rd Fairfax, VA 22033, USA - Chantilly
Busy intersection without one single light at night, with grass and brushes that are nearly 3 feet tall and a total lack of sidewalk or safe walking path from 50 into the north portion of Less' Corner. Pitch black at night with bikes and pedestrians sharing the road with fast moving traffic. Need a complete overhaul.
  • Fair Lakes Blvd Fairfax, VA 22033, USA - Chantilly
The west bound lane restrictions force all south bound traffic into the left lane, causing long backups. If the right lane were open for either left or right turn, it would greatly improve traffic flow, especially during non-rush hours.
  • 12412-12498 Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy Fairfax, VA 22033, USA - Chantilly
When approaching the intersection of Lee-Jackson Highway (US 50) at Alder Woods Drive from the west, heading east, it can take many minutes waiting for the left turn signal to change, even though there is no oncoming traffic in site. Delaware, Maryland, Michigan and other states permit left turns on red through the use of a flashing red or yellow arrow which obviously means that a driver needs to yield to oncoming traffic. But given the good sightlines at this intersection (you can see all the way up to West Ox Road), it make sense, rather to keep traffic waiting when there's no oncoming traffic, to let them pass when the roadway is clear.
  • Fair Ridge Dr Fairfax, VA - Chantilly
This new entrance/exit to this shopping center is the ONLY access in and out. Unfortunately, the light here to make a left turn onto 50 takes over 5 minutes to turn (at best). Something needs to chance here
  • 12878 Fair Valley Court Fairfax, VA - Chantilly

I am 63 and had heart surgery last fall and shouldn't be shoveling snow. It is also too much for my wife. We would so appreciate someone to come over and clean our drive.

  • Fairfax County Pkwy Fairfax, VA 22033, USA - Chantilly
Prior to intersection. Easily can take out tires and ruin alignment.
  • 13535 Smallwood Ln Chantilly, VA 20151, USA - Chantilly
Winter storms damaged many trees along the trail. In particular there is a large branch dangling in a tree near the first bridge as you traverse the trail westward from Stringfellow Rd. Hoping it will be removed before it falls down and hurts someone.

  • 13902 Waverly Creek chantilly, VA - Chantilly

Streetlight CO118, RB10 is out. Can you please repair it. This is still not fixed! Who do I need to contact?

    Still not fixed...

  • Rugby Road Fairfax, VA - Chantilly
The edges of concrete grates in swales are of poor initial design with lips on all sides higher than areas around so that water pools and forms deep chasms around outside edges. Grass edges are mowed flat on top hiding deceptively deep holes. My dog hit this one last Friday (when I went inches off the trail to make room for an oncoming walker) and came up lame. $250 in vet bills and we might still need to x-ray. If I'd hit the hole I would have snapped my leg. These grates are everywhere up and down along the trail on 7100 with gaping chasms of holes forming on the outside edges of the grates.
