With the addition of all the new parking garages for AMC, the new traffic lights on Holland Avenue, and all the traffic that leaves the vicinity at 4:30 every day, there have been backups from Delaware Avenue through New Scotland Avenue (and further) on both sides of the road due to congestion. Often the traffic lights (such as the one in front of the VA) allow people from the VA and from the Albany Law parking lot to enter onto Holland, but not enough time for those on Holland to continue on their journey. Hackett backs up as well, as people use Clara Barton Road to try to bypass the traffic. It seems when they did the new intersection at Delaware and Morton, they should have added a third lane for right-turn only onto Delaware to help with the traffic.

Since the city of Albany decided to make the first half of Notre Dame drive a one-way street by Albany Law, traffic leaving the university heights area has been a living nightmare ESPECIALLY in inclement weather (which includes snow AND rain). Several times in the last year alone it has taken me more than one hour to go from outside the Law school to Clara Barton Drive (which should also have a light at its exit onto Hackett). This issue has only gotten worse as the pharmacy school has taken over the old transportation building and increased traffic. Why was the change made, and couldn't the city do a traffic study on this area to alleviate the congestion? In gridlocked conditions, people make Notre Dame a two-way street anyway - just to make it out onto Holland without running out of gas waiting in your car for SOMEONE to move. There should also be a left-turning signal and separate lane on Princeton Drive's exit onto Holland Ave, as it is nearly impossible to make a left-hand turn at rush hour especially with the VA traffic.

the stretch of road coming out of the ESP heading up to Swan St towards State St has signs no stopping on the right side of the street. yet on sunday there are always cars parked on both sides of the street in this stretch of the road. it makes it very difficult to travel up the hill from the ESP especially in the winter months yet no one seems to say anything about it. what are the rules for this area

Every year the congestion is growing on the end of I-787. There needs to be better connection at the Interchange of I-87/Thruway, I-787, and US 9W, such a roundabout for all three roads, or a fly over ramp that connects I-787 directly to US 9W South, bypassing the Thruway entrance.

There is a large bump in the pavement of the I-90 W Exit 5A (Corporate Woods) off-ramp that could potentially cause a loss of vehicle control.

Route 85 in the City of Albany needs to be repaved. It leads from I-90 to the colleges and hospitals. Around a year of little projects have been done, however these patches have all come up, and it is very rough! Water pools in some areas in the rain, and potholes are numerous, deep, and unmarked.

The entire Northern Boulevard/NY Route 377/US Route 9 corridor should be called:

"The Intersection that Time Forgot".

Absolutely NOTHING has been repaired at this intersection since the late 1950's - early 1960's when this whole intersection was built!

(Oh yeah, I forgot-- they just recently put in a new traffic light at Northern Blvd. and NY 377)... Wheeee!!!

WOW! One improvement in 50 years!

But the pavement is crumbling, the road surface is buckling, potholes are big enough to break your tire right off of your car, many of the street lights are not functioning, the overpass abutments are disintegrating, and the amount of weeds and overgrowth of dead trees in this area is STAGGERING!!!

Route 378 down the street was just recently repaired wonderfully... Can't the same be done to Route 377 as well??!?!

You'd think with all the influential politicians and wealthy socialites who go to the Wolfert's Roost up the street, that they would at least attempt to clean up this section in order to gain favor with their constituency!!

The new roundabout here at Tricentenial Drive and Fuller Road has alleviated a lot of traffic at this busy intersection.

However, motorists driving south on Fuller Road are dangerously weaving from the right lane into the left lane while trying to continue south on Fuller Road!

They get caught in the right lane which goes into the UAlbany Freedom Quad headed northwest, and then wrecklessly jam over into the left lane when they realize they are in the incorrect lane for through-motions.

Perhaps Fuller Road should be redesigned again, to allow for 2 continuous lanes from Washington Avenue south, with clearly-marked "RIGHT TURN ONLY" signs and pavement arrows along the entire section, in order to more-efficiently signal that the right lane is for turns into the Freedom Quad complex ONLY.

Accidents occur here almost weekly and close calls happen hourly/by the minute! Please make the yielding approach to Northern Blvd from 377 more clear. It appears to drivers as if there are three lanes leaving room for a yielding lane to merge into on coming traffic because there are no lane stripes painted and there is a frequently malfunctioning traffic light. This issue goes along with the state of complete disrepair for the entire stretch of Northern Blvd from Albany Shaker to Van Rens Blvd and the surrounding approches. Please fix ASAP!!!

at the off ramp from rt 85 to Lincoln Ave, no one yields to traffic already on Lincoln Ave or trying to come off Zoar Ave onto either Lincoln Ave or rt 85. there is a school in this area & heavy traffic early in the morning & if a STOP sign were put in place of the Yield at the exit ramp, i think it would solve a lot of traffic back ups on Zoar Ave. i know i have spent at least 3-5 minutes at the STOP sign coming from Zoar Ave trying to get onto Lincoln Ave because no one would let me out into traffic.
