Something is seriously wrong with the roadway and/or the expansion joints on this overpass and the city should make it a priority to fix it. It's like driving over 15 jolting drops no matter what side you're driving on and it's only gotten worse this winter, no doubt because the road needs to be plowed. If the traffic isn't bad, take the extra time to stay below and avoid this overpass. Your suspension will thank you.

There has been a slow leak from the watermain on Metropolitan Ave at the Western corner of Washington Street for MONTHS! Even worse, they just stripped the road to repave it, and paved RIGHT OVER THE LEAK!!!

Problem with sidewalk. Cement has lifted due to construction (Bulger construction cut into existing sidewalk to add electrical to pole illeagally!, Also a big tree with roots have uplifted sidewalk resulting in at least 2 falls. Unable to use, resulting in school children using street. Please help has been like this for 3 yrs! also a part of the sidewalk that they did many yrs ago is about 4 inches off from the existing sidewalk agian resulting in falls. Have a handicap parents! Please help! Tx tricia

Asphalt has been clumsily dumped into places where there were once bricks along Hyde Park Ave in Forest Hills. This is unacceptable level of quality for a Boston neighborhood.

Multiple times a week, for months now, I have seen a small compact car parked IN the bike lane on Washington Street, just south of Ukraine. The car will be parked there overnight, completely blocking the bike lane, and I have never seen a ticket on the window. This forces bikers to swerve into the traffic lane to avoid the parked car.

I am at work and got your email today about shoveling, it can't come at a better time! But this year has so far been nothing like last year!

You state that people will need to write in to request shoveling each time. I am sure you know that may be a problem for many people who do not have computers at home. I finally bought a laptop, but do not have internet connection so I could never do this every time that I need shoveling.

You were such a HUGE help to me last winter, I could not have made it through without you and your group! I am now 60 and I need it more this winter than last, as I had r shoulder surgery 6 months ago and am still doing PT and am in more pain than I was before the operation. I cannot do any shoveling this year.

What can I (and other people who have no internet access) do when we need shoveling?

The "carriage lane" on the Roslindale side of the West Roxbury Parkway, between Beech Street and Washington Street, is in terrible shape. For years the BPW trucks have come through and patched potholes here and there, usually over and over again, but the road is in need of a restart / complete resurfacing. The "band aid" approach is not working, and the road conditions are starting to get dangerous. Related comment: the sidewalks in this part of the parkway neighborhood are a ridiculous mish-mash of cement (nice, but increasingly rare) and blacktop (ugly and do not last nearly as well/long as cement). See, e.g., the recent sidewalk "repairs" at the corner of Eastbourne and the West Rox Pkwy, which ripped out an uneven section of blacktopped sidewalk and replaced it with an amatuer-ish (at best) section of new blacktop sidewalk. What a waste of time and money.
