  • 101 Thorndike Street Lowell, Massachusetts - Lowell

All LRTA buses which end at the train station should include a stop downtown.

Nobody actually wants to be at the train station. The buses which end there without passing through downtown are not convenient, since there can be a long wait to transfer to a downtown bus.

Please extend all bus routes to include a downtown stop.

Please make sure the LRTA planning department sees this request.

  • 79-93 Chestnut St Arlington, MA 02474, USA - Arlington
This traffic light runs slowly when it's cold. Everything lasts longer than it should -- for example, the yellow lights last about 6 seconds, rather than the usual 3. Red lights are very long, which causes big delays.
  • 99 Massachusetts Ave Boston, MA 02115, USA - Back Bay

A few years ago, Boston added a left turn lane from Mass Ave north to Newbury Street west and the Mass Pike ramp. To line up northbound Mass Ave's two straight-ahead lanes with the lanes on the other side, they added a dashed white line across the intersection to guide traffic to the left.

The line quickly wore away, and now traffic from the left straight-ahead lane goes straight into the right lane on the other side. This is dangerous, and effectively narrows Mass Ave to one lane in one of its most congested spots.

Boston DPW, please repaint the lane dashes across the intersection right away, and continue to do it each spring.

  • 560-568 U.S. 20 Boston, MA 02215, USA - Fenway-Kenmore

The pedestrian lights in Kenmore Square show Don't Walk most of the time, even while traffic is stopped.

This is a waste of time for pedestrians. It leads to disrespect for the lights. People ignore them and cross during the Don't Walk, which is dangerous because the light could turn green at any time.

If you want pedestrians to respect the light, the light has to respect pedestrians.

  • 465-467 Arsenal St Watertown, MA 02472, USA - Watertown

Arsenal Street in the Arsenal/Watertown Mall area has a whole bunch of closely-spaced mistimed traffic lights.

The lights give long reds to Arsenal Street traffic, even when there's no cross traffic or opposing left turners. And they're not synchronized, so lights often turn red just as a pack of cars gets there from the previous light.

It takes much longer than it should to drive through this area, even late in the evening.

This is especially a problem for the thousands of passengers on the 70/70A bus, who don't have the option of taking an alternate road.

    Please retime these lights!

  • 194 Massachusetts Ave Cambridge, MA 02139, USA - Cambridgeport

Ever since Mass Ave was repaved, there has been a perpetual puddle in the bike lane, where it angles over to the curb because Mass Ave south widens to two lanes. The slope of the pavement causes water to pool, and the puddle is bigger than the entire width of the bike lane.

It lasts several days after it rains, long after the rest of the road is dry.

Please re-grade this area or install a drain.
