    11 Rockland Place Newton, MA - Newton
    A huge, deep depression in the road has developed directly in front of the driveway of 11 Rockland Place. Late last fall, city utility crews dug up the road here in order to install water and sewer connections for a new house being constructed directly across from 11 Rockland Place. After several months of winter weather, a huge depression has developed at the site of this digging, and it is a big hazard to residents who drive on this road everyday.

    Due to the weather and city snowplow activity, several large and dangerous potholes have developed next to (and around) a storm drain near 31 Rockland Place. Specifically, I am concerned that the storm drain might collapse if the pothole is not filled.

    There are lots of potholes on Northbound side of Christina Street, about 1000 yard from the Needham Street intersection. They are creating a very dangerous situation because drivers are swerving into oncoming traffic in order to avoid them.

    There are lots of big, deep potholes at the intersection of Tamarac Road and Rockland Place, directly in front of the driveway of 39 Rockland Place. They make an already dangerous intersection even more dangerous. And there are more potholes on Rockland Place in both directions.

    There is a huge, deep pothole that is threatening the structural integrity of a catch basin (Storm Drain) - it looks like the whole thing could collapse. It is located almost directly across from the driveway of 31 Rockland Place, at the intersection of Tamarac Road and Rockland Place. DPW tried to fix this last year, but another pothole has appeared again and is threatening the catch basin.

    A storm drain in front of the driveway of 31 Rockland Place is in danger of collapsing and creating a huge sinkhole in the street. A large hole approximately 6 feet DEEP and 2 feet wide has developed directly next to the storm drain. A small child could fall into this hole and become trapped and/or drown. This issue needs to be addressed immediately. Newton DPW has placed a barricade over the hole and the storm drain, but repairs must be made as soon as the weather allows.

    Potholes on Rockland Place are creating a public safety issue. There is also a massive pothole where Rockland Place meets High Street. The biggest potholes are in front of the driveway of 39 Rockland Place, 31 Rockland Place and the interesection of Rockland Place and High Street (85 High Street)..
