    2418 E 23rd St Oakland, California, 94601 - Reservoir Hill-Meadow Brook
These two duplexes (2418 and 2418A) each have one off-street parking spot for their unit, but clearly, they have more cars to park. Apparently, they think that they can “reserve” the spot in front of their homes with orange cones. They cannot. We all share these spots equally. None of us get to reserve a public parking space and none of us get to put cones out in the street - a public space. These cones need to be removed. It doesn’t matter if they’re private property. They are “left in the street” and therefore function as blight/litter/illegal dumping. Please take them away! Thank you.
  • 1722 27th Ave Oakland, California, 94601 - Oak Tree
This pile of blight and debris all over (and around) this vehicle is an eyesore that has been here for at least 6 months. The fact that no one who lives here has bothered to report it speaks to the sense of hopelessness and disempowerment felt by many of the folks who have to live on this section of 27th Ave. I just reported the blight ON the apartment building here, but this is a different report because it’s on the sidewalk and street. What started off as an inoperable vehicle (I’m assuming) has now turned into a gigantic pile of trash. If it’s not removed it will continue this ripple effect of blight and illegal dumping! Please help.
  • 1722 27th Ave Oakland, California, 94601 - Oak Tree
This apartment building seems to be undergoing some construction. It appears that 3 small carports are being converted into something enclosed. However, there is now plywood and graffiti littering the front of the building and that’s creating a ripple effect of blight and illegal dumping. The construction needs to be completed and the plywood and graffiti needs to be removed.
  • 1511 27th Ave Oakland, California, 94601 - Oak Tree
This truck is parked in the front yard of the property. Technically, this is a code violation because the front yard is grass and dirt. But it's also upsetting because it provides an offensive aesthetic for us all. Blight begets more blight. In order to turn this neighborhood around and make it more beautiful, we need to plant PLANTS in the front yard, not household cast-offs and vehicles.
  • 2437 Fruitvale Ave Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - Sausal Creek
This white pick-up truck is actually on Logan St. (But the home it's "in front of" for the purposes of an address for reporting, is facing Fruitvale, so that's the house address.) This truck has been here for weeks. It's in the red zone. It's more than 18" from the curb. It's parked illegally AND it appears to be abandoned. There are many parking tickets on the front windshield.
  • 2705 E 21st St Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - Reservoir Hill-Meadow Brook
This is a chronic dump-spot and it needs to change NOW. I don't know if it's primarily this apartment building on the corner or if it's a bunch of different people, but this has been a on-going issue for over 20 years- that's how long I've witnessed it.
  • 2629 Logan St Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - Sausal Creek

There is a scary-look white truck that's been parked on 27th Ave. (at the corner of Logan St., in front of the yellow house on the corner, of which the address is 2629 Logan St.) for 6-9 months now. It has all sorts of threatening notes taped to it, promising to kill anyone who comes near the vehicle. Please remove it from our neighborhood.

We may not have as much money and white privilege as the "nicer neighborhoods" in Oakland, but we deserve to live in a neighborhood that doesn't look like a shithole.

  • 2616 E 27th St Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - Sausal Creek
This is the trash can in front of the blue triplex at 2616 E 27th St.
It often looks like this. I'm not sure if the city doesn't empty it often enough or if people overload it... But clearly it needs to get tended to much, MUCH more often.
  • 2235 Inyo Ave Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - Reservoir Hill-Meadow Brook

This RV is parked partially on the sidewalk and remains in this spot 24/7 (only moving for street cleaning, then going right back there). Its registration has long-since expired and it's a blight on our neighborhood community. Plate # 682 PGA

When looking at the map, I see that it's actually parked alongside this house: 2351 E 23rd St., Oakland, CA, 94601. That address is on E 23rd, but it's a corner house and the trailer is on Inyo.

  • 2919-2921 Fruitvale Ave Oakland, CA, 94602, USA - Oakland
The pedestrian crossing sign (the one in the middle of the street & crosswalk) has been stolen again. It needs to be replaced.
  • 2751 Fruitvale Ave Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - Sausal Creek
The pedestrian crossing sign (the one in the middle of the street & crosswalk) has been knocked down by a car. It needs to be replaced.
  • 2868 Fruitvale Ave Oakland 94601, United States - Patten
The pedestrian sign in the middle of the street (crosswalk) has been removed AGAIN. This is dangerous for cars as well as pedestrians! Last time this happened I drove over the six bumps in the road as I was making my left on Fruitvale, from Brookdale. Not good!
  • 2905 Bona St Oakland 94601, United States - Patten
The new pedestrian crossing sign that’s supposed to be in the middle of the street has been removed -it’s been gone for weeks. Without it there, when turning left onto busy Fruitvale Ave (from Brookdale), I couldn’t see the short concrete pieces (in the middle of the street!) that’s supposed to be surrounding and protecting the pedestrian sign. So I just drove over it and may have damaged my tires! 😩
  • 3327 Foothill Blvd Oakland 94601, United States - Saint Elizabeth

The pedestrian light here is sometimes not giving the peds a turn. This has been happening sporadically for the past week or so. It’s odd, because sometimes it’s working fine.

(It’s a weird intersection in that it gives an all-pedestrian-cross “turn” for peds, which is nuts because they are far more traffic-congestion-issues created by peds one block down, at Foothill and Fruitvale).

  • 3301 35th Ave Oakland Ca 94619 United States - Laurel
Coming off the 580 off-ramp onto 35th Ave just now, we hit such a severe pothole that I think it may have damaged my car! (Even though it’s an AWD SUV.)
  • 2034 Coolidge Oakland, California - Peralta-Hacienda
A couple of weeks ago a HUGE branch fell off a tree and landed in the road (it's off to the side, cars can get by). I just assumed that someone would report it, but... Apparently not. Now people are adding garbage and it's becoming a pile of sh#&! The choices that some people make in this city really disappoint me sometimes. :(
  • 27th Ave. @E 22nd St. Oakland, California - Reservoir Hill-Meadow Brook
    abandoned auto: wrecked, stripped
  • 2227 27th Ave. Oakland, California - Sausal Creek
There is a crashed car parked here and it's been there for 2 weeks. Not sure if it's abandoned or stolen, etc.
  • 2228-2298 27th Ave Oakland, CA 94601, USA - Sausal Creek
This spot has ongoing household dumping occurring, and it's constant. As soon as the city cleans it up, new dumped items appear. 8^(
  • 2703 E 23rd St Oakland, CA 94601, USA - Sausal Creek

This corner is a CONSTANT dump spot. Yet the city does nothing substantive about it. Cameras, fines, and prosecution are needed. Oakland needs to learn how to ENFORCE THE LAWS it has on the books, otherwise the city remains a magnet for bad behavior.

There is also graffiti on the stop sign, as usual.
