Several accidents have happened here in the past few months (including 11/29/11 and 12/30/11), all of the same cause: cars trying to turn left from the center lane of 2nd Ave S onto Elm St and cutting off a car in their blind spot. One car ended up kissing the building on the corner and just grazing the gas meter!

Suggestion: add some type of lane divider between the left and center lanes as they approach and cross Elm St. to prevent people from thinking they can turn left from the center lane. Perhaps those thin plastic bollards that glue to the street?

Three large potholes and asphalt debris in center lane as it crosses Elm St.

Why is this median area always wet? The constant moisture cause the pavement to breakup leading to perpetual potholes. No matter how many times they patch the asphalt, they keep coming back. Needs a permanent solution.
