TODAY IS CHRISTMAS MORNING AND WE CANNOT BATHE, NOR PREPARE FOOD DUE TO THIS REGULARLY OCCURING DISRUPTION. IF RESIDENTAL PROPERTY OWNERS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN WELL WATER TO BE ASSURED CONSISTENT WATER AVAILABLITY, CITY OF CANTON SHOULD BEAR THE COST OF WELL WATER PROVISION. • Pothole Acknowledged
Dr. John T Pettit Canton, Georgia - Canton
This approximate location appears to be a poorly compacted utility ditch line that is rapidly collapsing.
My initial impression was that this was a pothole, however further review causes the belief that there is water infiltration or similar defect causing the roadway to sink here. The exact location cannot be listed as this portion of street is undeveloped but the area is primarily in the East lane and roughly 2/3 the distance from Marietta Road to Cherokee St.

new rental tenant at 360 Cherokee street operates a business from that address and posts a 'sandwich board' sign at the driveway. that sign advertises his business services and attracts customers with the sign (measures approximately 3'x 4' and is double sided, painted in bright bold colors and uses balloons as well as a blinking neon sign to gain attention. the fact that they operate a business from home is not my issue. the steady stream of vehicles into and out of the driveway, as well as the sign, balloons and especially the neon are offensive to those of us hoping to enjoy the peace and quiet formerly afforded us on Cherokee street. please research Canton/ Cherokee Municode and have code enforcement officer visit, explain and enforce the codes as written.

CHEROKEE STREET PAVING, BEGINNING AT INTERSECTION OF DR. JOHN T. PETTIT AN ENDING AT HOSPITAL CIRCLE, IS BADLY DETERIOATED AND IN NEED OF PATCHING POT HOLES AND RESURFACING. BASED ON THE TRAFFIC CAUSED BY RESIDENTS AS WELL AS THE EXTRA TRAFFIC IMPOSED ON RESIDENTS BY EMPLOYEES, VISITORS AND DELIVERIES DAILY OCCURING AT THE BRIAN CENTER, THE ROAD DESIGNED FOR LOCAL TRAFFIC RECEIVES TRAFFIC EQUAL TO HIGHWAY COLLECTOR ROADS AND WEARS ACCORDINGLY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INSPECTION AND THE ANTICIPATED UPFRADE.
