Another week, another missed recycling pick-up despite most everyone else’s being addressed on the block.
  • 1418 Varnum Street Northwest Washington Dc - Meridian Hill
This issue was originally reported on November 8 with a request/confirmed pick up of November 14. It has not been addressed, hence the new request.

Trash was also missed, looks like the whole block is impacted.

This is the second time this tree has been reported. No action has been taken despite numerous (large) dead branches that lean out over houses, sidewalk and the street itself.

Recycling container and three yard waste bags were completely missed despite the "slide to the next day" observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
  • 1425 Varnum St Nw Washington, DC 20011, USA - Petworth
The tree in question is a large/tall tree with a few big limbs that did not bloom with leaves. It should be inspected and the dead limbs removed.

This pole was scheduled to be picked up via bulk collection on 2/27 and was closed because the item "wasn't found"... the item is clearly placed in the parking area where it is next to impossible to be missed if someone had done more than drive by. I've attached a picture to this request in order to hopefully aid in its removal.

There are many hub caps littering the road as well as torn up grass and dirt along the road as a result of people/cars being impacted by the steadily worsening conditions of this road.

We had four paper bags of yard waste that were not collected despite the contents of both the trash and recycling containers being picked up.

Yard waste pick up was missed a week ago. Original ticket somehow picked up 1424 instead of 1418. It's the alley behind 1418 and there are bags of yard waste sitting in the parking area. Hopefully they will get picked up during our regular collection this week, but I'm resubmitting since it wasn't picked up on the 311 request.

There are 7 bags of leaves and yard waste that have been bagged in the appropriate earth friendly yard waste bags and were placed with trash and recycling on 11/15, however, upon returning home last night they were all still there yet trash and recycling had been picked up.

It started as mattress dumped on the east side of the parkway as you approach Arkansas and has continued to grow with chairs and other debris piled up around it on the lawn.

There are two trees and several vines that have grown up around the power lines in the alley between 1420 and 1418 Varnum St. The vines are wrapped around power lines and some of it is pulling the pole out of alignment. This will ultimately pull the lines down or the pole down and could cause access issues to the homes located there. The trees need to be heavily pruned and the vines removed to protect the safety of the residents, homes and power lines.

Someone has moved or been evicted and has left a mattress, two large sodas and coffee/side tables on the sidewalk in front of the vacant lot. It's blocking he sidewalk for individuals walking and is unsightly. Trash and debris are constantly dumped here and left until someone cleans them.
