Don't know if anyone cares, or if anything can be done about this.

There is a storm sewer/basin right at the front of Eli's Pizza on the north west corner of School and Whitney.

When water comes south, down Whitney, it passes right by this storm drain and continues about 800 feet up School St., almost to the apartments near the Elks club.

The storm drain is just a little higher than the roadway.

This leads water all the up school st., not only when it rains, but also when the Ortho Dr. Office, and next door Jefferson Arms Apartments, waters their lawn.

It is a huge problem right now with that water main patch blocking the flow of water to the catch basin.

No, this issue has not been resolved. It does create extra burden on the catch basin on School St., and is the reason why School St. floods regularly (as well as when the apartments and Dr. Officers water their lawns in the summer).

This could easily be remedied with some kind of thin asphalt or rubber patch applied to the south side of the path the water takes around the corner, past the basin, placed so that it would divert the water into the basin.

The system asked me to close or update this item ... it has not been remedied as of today.

The system has asked again about this - it is not resolved and is the major factor contributing to the flooding of School St, between Whitney and Evergreen, when it rains - or when the lawns are watered on Whitney Ave. at Jefferson Arms and the Orthopedic buildings.

I believe it could easily be resolved with an asphalt patch placed just south of the catch basin to redirect the water into the catch basin, instead of traveling around it. It is easy to see what is happening when the above mentioned properties water their lawns.

A water main repair left an asphalt patch that has been a problem. It did turn into a large pot hole, now it is repaired again but is blocking the flow of water, and when it rained last night made a pool in the middle of school st., creating a situation where anyone on the sidewalk, or even up onto the lawn of the property, got drenched from the spray of passing cars.
