The pedestrian signal to cross 6-lane Ella Grasso Boulevard at this location is 20 seconds, which is more than 4 feet of crossing distance per second. The standard for areas in which children and seniors are present is 3 or maximum 3.5 feet per second of crossing time. This intersection is directly adjacent to Barnard School and is an important access point for West River Memorial Park. The ped signal should be timed to at least 25-30 seconds.

New graffiti on cinder block wall on west side of trail between Bassett and Goodrich. Volunteers painted over graffiti here this summer. We will do that again as soon as possible. A mural at this location would help prevent further tagging. Can someone from Parks or LCI tell me if this wall is on Parks or private property?

There is a large fallen tree blocking the flow of the West River just below Derby Avenue. It is collecting a huge amount of trash, and also blocks canoe access in this area.

Can a new tree be placed here? It would help to spruce up this block on Lower Chapel

There's an old utility pole along the Farmington Canal Trail between Thompson and Shelton (closer to Shelton), on the west side of the trail. It is an old, unused pole (not UI or phone). It sways when touched and appears in danger of coming down at any minute.

This empty lot next to Elm City Market (a casualty of the tax dispute between MEPT and the City) is becoming a public dumping ground.

What could be done to activate the plaza on the south side of Grand Avenue where it goes over the train tracks across Artizan street from the Fire Station? There must be 500 sq feet of pavement here that is ripe for some kind of creative use, something along the lines of what's being done in the little squares along Broadway in Manhattan or Belmont Plaza in the Bronx (http://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/images/sidewalks/2012_plazas_belmont.jpg).

There is a huge pile of trash dumped on the side of the Farmington Canal Greenway at the New Haven - Hamden border just below Goodrich. It appears that it may be junk cleared out of the adjacent commercial building on Goodrich that is being renovated. I hope the contractor is not using this area for their construction debris.

Is FBI responsible for clearing the sidewalks around their building on Grove and State Streets? These sidewalks have not been touched since the storm.

Illegal dumping on sidewalk, west side of Winchester just north of Bassett

Sidewalks on both sides of Goffe between Tower Parkway and Sperry St are pretty terrible. This whole area needs revitalization -- fixing the sidewalks would be a good start.

Large branch hanging down from tree on west side of Farmington Canal btw Bassett and Goodrich. Probably came down in recent windstorm. Needs removal.

There is a large dead tree on the east side of the Farmington Canal Greenway halfway between Bassett and Goodrich that is covered in poison ivy. I'm concerned it will come down in a storm. Should be removed.

Parking Meter #119 on Hillhouse Avenue is out of order

Bus stop next to Clemente School on SW corner of Columbus & Howard has broken glass strewn everywhere. Glass from bus shelter was shattered, needs replacement.

I often see bikes chained to the fence here. The school really needs a proper bike rack.
